Not sure if there are anyone here with insider sources close to the Rockets to double confirm this ?

According to this article, Yao Ming will return to court on March 9 on home court versus New Jersey Nets. :D :D :D

If this is true then my fantasy team will finally be fully healthy. Oh, and it'll help the Rockets, too. :p

Well, basically, the article you linked from tom.com is the same as mine from qq.com.

In both articles, it mentioned at the end, that Jonathan Feigen of Houston Chronicle sighed after the loss to Boston Celtics that the Rockets now urgently needs the services of Yao Ming.

And then the articles said according to some insider information, the Rockets management had decided that Yao Ming shall return on March 9 versus the New Jersey Nets.

Oops, my bad, it is indeed Feigen. Misread the article.

The order of the sentences though seems to imply that the information of the March 9 return date came from Feigen.

Here is the information I got from Jonathan today.

    Hi Jonathan,

The report from somewhere said that Yao would return on March 8, the Net game. Do you have the information to support it?

    Thanks,

    Bill

    Bill,

There is no timetable that specific. March 9 is a possibility. (There is no game March 8.) As you may know, my prediction has always been March 9. That might be what you have in mind. But no one yet can do any more than predict.

I expect Yao to be cleared for more contact, one-on-one, two-on-two type work, in the next few days. They'll see how that goes.

    Jonathan

This has to be GREAT NEWS after such frustrating setbacks of losses to scrub teams like Hawks, Celtics and Raptors........

    http://sports.sohu.com/20070301/n248437768.shtml

According to this latest Sohu.com article (from Zhang Yi), Yao Ming confirmed to him that starting March 1 (US standard time), he will resume playing contact basketball with his team mates in the team practice !!!

Stay Tune for my report/photos of it.

If interested, I remind you that Yetti suggested March 1st quite some time ago.

If interested, speaking in third person is a sign of insanity.

    Rushing ?? How ??

If Yao Ming had no ill effect after making those leap-in-the-air exercises to land on his injured right leg time after time, it just proved that his right leg is completely healed.

And there should be no other things to hinder him from resuming playing contact basketball with his team mates; it would be a waste of time to keep shooting 28/30 of his jumpers on every of the spots (7 of them, around the arc) without going into some real contact basketball with his team mates to evaluate where he currently stands from returning to play.
