Hey.....you really don't know what you're talking about.

He's not staying at luxury hotel.

He's staying at the Tiandan Apartment of the National Sports Bureau, where the Chinese national team is currently staying and training.

Although the main purpose of his trip back to Beijing this time is to get some therapy and treatment by a team of Chinese medical experts using Chinese traditional medicine/methods (like herbal medicine, massage, acupuncture), I would not be surprised if he would persist in his strength and conditioning exercise making use of the equipment/facilities at the National Sports Bureau.

Unless I'm mistaken he didn't fly out with his personal trainer/coach. If he wants to weight train that's good but I for one am hoping he stays off the foot.

I don't like to bring up anecdotal evidence, but I'm a fairly active guy and my circle of friends is as well. In my experience swelling's an indication of overuse/strain and being stubborn and refusing to break training isn't going to help.

If you have watched the video and seen the photos of his training, he is NOT yet ready to apply force to his left foot. So the swelling in his left foot is NOT due to overusage/strain.

Just my observations- Yao arrives at the Airport with crutches and smiles. Yao leaves the Restaurant without Crutches and smiles.
From the previous photos, kndly presented by Pryuen, his foot did not show excessive swelling and in the workout photos he was wearing his regular workout boots. :p

That's falsone in the video, not Macha. Mistake by NBATV.

Falsone looks in excellent shape. Pretty jacked and cut.

    Macha is pudgy and round.

Guys who shave their heads and wear goatees look alike yes. But big difference there.

Falsone has a website on the internet. It's definantly him

Pryuen, I'm pretty sure everyone appreciates what you do for Clutchfans.net. At the same time, however, I'm pretty sure everyone would prefer that you refrain from using " " all the time. Also, the bold red font is annoying. Not everyone knows every little thing about Yao like you do, so when someone makes a small error, you don't need to counter with the rolleyes and bold red font.

I don't mean to preach but it's getting old and I know I'm not the first to mention this.

Well, if Yao is walking or standing without crutches, I am sure he is well on his way to getting healthy and if he wants to undergo traditional Chinese medicinal things, then more power to him.

I am sure he will heal in the appropriate time frame.....about 3 months.

No matter what medicine he uses, Western or Eastern....at the end of the day, it is the bodies natural abilty to heal itself given by God that will make him better.

He's not applying the normal amount of force on it, but we do know that he's running on it in the pool.

A guy goes to the doctor and says, "Doc, it hurts when I do this." The doctor replies "Well then, stop doing that."

Not running on anything in the pool. Looks to me like he is suspended by the lifevest around his stomach

if he's 150% healthy when the olympics rolls around, i love for him to play.

if he's not, i don't know if i would risk him.

but i'm sure he'll probably just play for 2-3 games since china has no shot.

i agree with the  , but the red font is ok, it's better than PEOPLE TYPING IN ALL CAPS ... or colors that are hard to see. red highlighting is just showing the important part of his message, kind of like bolding.

is yao still doing the rehab process (like the pool stuff) in china, just the way he did it in America? Just want to know, if the two medical staff have agree on what to do.

Just read an article saying that Yao has arrived in Beijing. Not sure if this is still a news here.

Acoording to the article, he will stay in China for about 10 days. He will have his left foot examined by a group of finely selected speacialists in Chinese medicine.

Hope he will be back strong next season.

hey he can do what he wants. it's his style. if you can't live with it close your eyes. This is an open forum not a regulated discussion.

Granted, the faces are a bit annoying sure, but what Pruyen has done far outweighs small idiosyncracies.

    Deal with it.

Umm...sorry to burst your bubble, but this IS a "regulated" (or administered, if you prefer) forum. Also, Clutch (the owner and uber-administrator for this site) has pointedly asked pryuen to refrain from over usage of the " " emoticon. He either missed it or doesn't care.

    Just thought I would clarify...
