    Paging Deckard.

Have mixed opinions about this after being hyped for Prometheus. In good news don't see Damon Lindeloff's name below.

Return of the replicants: Harrison Ford confirmed for ‘Blade Runner’ sequel

Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role as Rick Deckard in a sequel to the dystopian, neo-noir “Blade Runner,” more than 31 years after the film first premiered. Ridley Scott directed the 1982 movie, which was adapted from the Philip K. Dick novel “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.” Production on the film will begin in the summer of 2016. Oscar-nominated director Denis Villeneuve is in negotiations to direct, Variety reports.

We are honored that Harrison is joining us on this journey with Denis Villeneuve, who is a singular talent…we couldn’t be more thrilled with this amazing, creative team.

    Statement from Alcon Entertainment

Alcon Entertainment announced Ford’s role Thursday and said Scott will serve as an executive producer on the sequel. Ford recently said the script was the “best thing he’s ever read.” Further plot details are not known. Ridley Scott is slated to produce the sci-fi thriller alongside Alcon’s Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson.

So considering Harrison Ford's age now...does this confirm that he was NOT a replicant in the movie?

Or it could be a replicant that thinks he is an older Deckard.

Much like CF.net's own Deckard. How do we really know he actually seduced ladies in the 60's with owls? That could be all a manufactured memory to make a replicant Clutchfan think he actually existed prior to the SF3 Rockets.

Clearly Deckard is a Nexus 7 model.

Just look at the first and last letters of Deckard's moniker.

    LMAO

Hollywood can't help themselves. Why ruin a good thing like Blade Runner with a needless sequel?

They need to get Vangelis to do the soundtrack again; his score is almost as much a part of the brilliance of the film as all the special effects. It. Is. Essential!!!

The original blade runner was great.
Even if the sequel sucks, there's no reason not to watch it, you never know!

I think we should torment Deckard more with this thread.

Anyone want to guess who the new, younger blade runner will be? (Surely Harrison will play, like, his supervisor or grandpa.)

    Ashton Kutcher!? LOL. Other guesses?

I wonder if that means Sean Young will reprise her role as Rachel? They already said Deckard was a replicant from what I recall.
