Everything I'm hearing is the Floyd fight will be Manny's last. A lot of people expect him to fight Cotto, Margarito and then Floyd. I think even Arum knows the Floyd fight is a loss for Manny
I think Pacquiao is gunning for another weight division in Cotto since there's no belt to fght against Foreman. 8 is not bad at all
Im a big pacman fan but I don't see Manny getting this one simply because Floyd is naturally bigger and taller and quicker. This is a war between the best in defense vs the best in offense. Floyd beign the bigger and taller has every advantage to steal a lot of points via counterpunches. And it will be hard for Manny to penetrate. The only way for Manny to win if he gets the same opening that he got during the Hatton fight and connect a solid one puncher. If he misses a tko, Floyd is smart enough to make adjustment. He'll run around if needed.
Agreed although I don't think the size advantage has anything to do with it. I don't think it is really even relevant. Fact of the matter is Floyd is a more intelligent boxer, his boxing ability and skills are on another level compared to Manny's. Also, what exactly makes Manny the best offensive boxer? If catching Floyd coming straight forward with no head movement and his hands down around his waist, is the only chance that Manny has to win...well you can pretty much just hand Manny the L right now.
Hope thats true. Its sound like some Lebron James type stuff lol. But if it doesn't go down and you don't want to see a Cotto or Margarito fight, who should Pac face in the mean time? Berto? Mosley? Maybe a move down to 140? I don't see him moving up to fight P. Will or Sergio.
If pacman fight Paul Williams I don't even care if he fights floyd. Obviously PW has a big reach advantage and he has a good work rate, but if he will have to lose weight so pacman should have a big strength advantage. PW isn't the most exciting fighter, but pacquiao always makes fights exciting.
What? PWill is definitely an exciting fighter. Arum has no intention of fighting Paul Williams. Paul beats manny easily
man, you're just too biased. size matters big time that's why we have weight divisions. what makes Manny the best offensive boxer? I don't know man, i don't know. and i dont' want to argue with your way of thinking.
Me not agreeing with you, doesn't make me biased. And I wasn't arguing, I was just really wondering what makes Manny the BEST offensive fighter. I didn't say you were wrong, I simply asked what do you think makes him the best offensive fighter. Take it easy. Also the whole size matters thing... it seems like you might already be making an excuse for Pac when he loses. Size hasn't mattered in his past 4 fights apparently, so why would it suddenly matter now?
Posting pics of someone wearing Jazz gear is just about the worst possible way to support your argument.
For Manny, this is a must, he HAS to fight Floyd. Any other opponent will be a step down. I personally think Bradley loses against Pac... Bradley has skill but he likes to get into exchanges and he has a good work rate. But his work rate won't be better than Pac's or his power. A fight with Berto will again be pointless. At this point his only opponent needs to be Floyd. Maybe a Mosley fight... but Freddie isn't going to allow Pac to fight Mosley. He didn't want him to before, he won't want him to now. Even then, if Pac wins it won't prove anything. Floyd on the other hand can move up to 154 and fight Martinez or Williams... which would both be a much bigger challenge for him than Pac.
Wow I've seen that picture like a million times and I never noticed he is wearing Jazz gear, honestly. That is weird.
Hold up Bladage. I know you are a Maywether fan. So am I after his last fight he won me over. But it is incorrect to say Pac needs Mayweather. Pac's run of fighters he's beaten over the last 2 years or so is almost a who's who of big named fighters. Floyd needs this fight for his legacy far more than pac needs it. Come on now!
