I know you might not want to hear this, but I would avoid getting a degree in psychology. There is somewhere between little and nothing you can do with a B.A. in psych (as a friend of mine can attest - she double majored in psych and sociology and is now going through nursing school so she can get a job). Personally, I was working in a psychiatric hospital (and majoring in psychology) , making $7.65 per hour (plus shift differential, woo-hoo) and there were people with B.A.s in psychology applying for my job (after which, I changed my major and my profession).

If it were me, I would major in journalism, or if you are planning on pursuing further education in psych, double major. That way, you will have a degree with which you can obtain gainful employment while you are pursuing further education in psychology.

    Just my $0.02.

Major and minor in what you love. If you can't decide, go Liberal Arts. It is the paper that makes the difference, not what your degree is in. Mine is in Advertising, yet I have worked in IT for the last 20 years.
