His contract has a team option, he’s essentially a 20 mill expiring.

I heard rumors about the Rockets trying to trade for JR Smith. I will like that deal if Rodney Hood is involve.

Looks like a terrible list. Wait out for Bazemore, Carroll, Marvin Williams, etc.

Ariza is so mediocre only 8 teams are willing to pay him only $7.5m for only half a season.

I would look into picking up Felicio, Holiday and Payne from the Bulls for Knight, Nene, Melo and our 2019 protected 1st.

Felicio's contract is irritating (2 seasons after this one) but at least it's declining and it's in a manageable range ($7-8m) and he seems capable of giving 10-12 minutes a game as a backup. I love Nene's attitude and drive, but while his offense is holding up his defense/quickness looks untenable thus far.

Payne seems useless, but I guess doesn't hurt to have him as insurance.

Holiday would actually help a lot. Can do nothing but play defense and hit corner 3's, but he is good at those things and we need someone to do that.

He will be on KCP's doorstep at midnight begging him to waive his no-trade clause.

This is the best idea so far.
The issue is that everyone is taking advantage of Knight contract in Tilman's mind. The asking price is not in the fair market, is clearly "unusually" too high than expected.
2019 unprotected pick and Knight contract is stapled together.

If you want a fair trade for Knight, you are completely wrong.
