This doesn't seem like a very good idea after getting destroyed last year following the letter jackets.
The Texans have a homecoming game every year. It's when they trot out former players. They could be ex-Texans or ex-Oilers or just players that live in the Houston area. Homecoming has nothing to do with the letter jackets. Besides, if you think the Texans lost the MNF game against the Patriots because they wore the letter jackets then you need to have your head examined. The Texans lost that game because they didn't play well and the Patriots did. It's as simple as that.
Got the attention of First Take. Congrats! ___________________________________________________ Spoiler Via Via
Is the first game a white-out again? I hate my white Texans shirt. I want to wear my blue Foster jersey, red Johnson shirt, or blue Watt shirt.
Sean Cody should have been cut immediately following his letterman jacket idea. Really liked "on the nose", but damn ...the letterman jacket was the worst idea ever!
Not to sound like a grumpy old man, but I think these themes are kind of silly. This is the NFL, not high school or college. When I go to a game, I just wear my blue AJ jersey no matter what we're "supposed" to wear. When ever everyone wears the same color, it makes the stadium look empty.
I feel the same way about this as I do Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It's a marketing ploy that might see about 1% of proceeds going to the ACTUAL cause they're plugging. But I'll hold my tongue right there in fear of taking this to the D&D.
I don't thing you realize that 40% of Texans fans in Houston are Hispanic. Ever been to a tailgate at Reliant?
