Outside of the disrespect by TNT. Chris Paul played very well, the system flowed well. Looks like the cp3 harden duo is perfect.

Even with just 20 mins, CP3 is just enough for our team. He gives harden the rest and relief he needs even if CP3 stayed at these low minutes I think it’s all harden ever needed but it’s crazy to think will be getting 30-40 mins from CP3 at some point.

I don't see any chemistry between Paul and Harden...

I love D'antoni's little offensive tricks. Paul and Harden playing dribble hand off, then Paul set a flare screen and pop, and a wide open three, bang.

Not complicated, but very effective when you have two big ball handlers with enormous offensive threat.

Those 2 can run that same play, with either being the instigator, pretty much at will.

I don't know what the NBA record for lob dunks off of a PnR is, but Capela may break it.

Both CP and JH have something to prove in the Playoffs. They play very well year in year out in the regular season but can't get beyond WCF.

This is the year! The media shall see!

CP3 has never seen the WCF, Harden has been to the Finals

I mean together though. Harden has not been to the Finals as a Rocket. As the 1st option starting wise.

Yep. Note the time on the clock. They ran that out of the gate. They usually only do that with plays that are a main focus of the offense. I'm counting on seeing this a lot, with either running it.

I suspect we'll see keeper versions without a hand-off, depending upon defense. But this Memphis defense clearly had no idea what to do as two followed Harden and Gasol stayed glued to Capela, so we are probably already ahead practicing against anticipated adjustments....like the obvious switch.

I think the switch can be beat by a keeper through the seam...by these two elite dribblers. Watch, if Paul can turn the corner around Capela's pick, under Harden's defender (instead of a hand-off), that's the last line of help defense against Paul and Capela going 2 on 1 against the big.

Also, fwiw, since Harden is left handed, we'll be running the mirror-image of this play with Harden being intitial dribbler. Sometimes running the mirror image is enough to bother defenses.

Rockets would be 16-1 or 15-2 at worst if Paul had not knocked knees with Chalmers.
