Liberals - Too much debt because not enough taxes.
Conservatives - Too much debt because spending is out of control.

I guess its all just a matter of perspective.

It's really just a matter of math unless you're a shill for tax cut scams.

That is true. The difference is that liberals will increase some taxes but Conservatives won't decrease spending.

You got that last part wrong. Conservatives are wrong for not pushing harder for not decreasing spending but start talking about cutting any of the public welfare programs and see how fast the Democrats scream.

At the end of the day the blame falls on all of congress regardless of Democrat or Republican. In that regard I blame them both.

Yes, cutting public welfare is bad for the economy and Democrats will scream about it.

I don't know if you have seen the studies about the return into the economy for those programs verses tax cuts for the wealthy who save more money rather than pouring it back into the economy and business sector.

It's why the whole "NATO countries should pay their fair share" is all bravado with no tangible benefits to the American citizen.

Probably because public wellfare has actual tangible effects in keeping many families not homeless and effects the economy more because poor people spending money on goods and services instead of being homeless helps the economy more than throwing money at defense contractors who charge 1500 dollars for a clutch disc that costs 32 dollars to manufacture and use their government subsidsidies for stock buybacks and lining the pockets of executives.

Our economy is fueled by demand. Unfortunately I it's currently being fueled by demand that is mostly payed through financing and credit.
