What do y'all want the two major party candidates to address tonight? How do you expect they will approach issues? Will they be sincere and honest or will they sidestep tough questions?

One issue I hope they address is fiscal solvency. We can see from the picture being painted in Europe that employment and real estate prices are vital to a governments ability to pay for services it provides to its citizens. What I am really getting at is the defecit. Some say we need to cut spending and yet others say we need to raise taxes.

Defense, Net Interest, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security now consume a portion of the government's expenditures equal to its total revenue. By the end of the decade, welfare programs' (Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security) expenditures will likely equal the government's total revenue. Is this an issue that "needs to be addressed" or can our government remain solvent while entitling our senior citizens to adequate funds to purchase Goldbond's Medicated Foot Powder?

The deficit was an issue to me when the economy was steamrolling along but it's not now. Running deficits to stimulate the economy is fine to me. Unfortunate those 8 Bush years screwed us in a major way.

I don't expect much of the debate. Romney has run a campaign lacking specificity, lacking the truth, and lacking anything much different than what we know doesn't work. If Obama weren't so disappointing in the way he's governed as a corporate Republican this race wouldn't even be a contest. Hopefully Obama comes back to where we hoped he'd be after he wins neither term but I tend to doubt it.

Hmmm... Obama a bit nervous in his first bit -- Romney looking relaxed.
