I'm just curious, why do you want to give your son a uni sex name? I've always wondered why parents do that.
CONGRATULATIONS, sir! If I didn't know you at all, and if I was NOT biased about anything at all, and not having read anyone else's comments, I voted for the "Cameron" without the K. K sounds so... I don't know... KKK'ish, to me at least. Beck didn't make it. But I will still donate to the tipjar in honor of your news, sir.
Thank you ma'am, I was wondering what went down with that but I'm glad to see you keep your word. Sorry for Beck, never really got to see him get any PT. It's not that we were choosing out of a hat of uni sex names like Ryan, Drew, Casey, or Sam. We liked a lot of non uni sex names for instance; Donovan was the other top choice of ours before we settled on Cam.
Ironic how? First, Steve's last name is Francis, not his first. Second, at least with Francis/Frances they are spelled different for male/female. Third, my real name is not Francis or any other remotely uni sex name.
I can definitely understand that. I actually think Cameron is a good name and I wouldn't have thought of it as uni sex if you hadn't mentioned it. I really meant more like the names that sound like a girl's name but are also given to guys sometimes, e.g. Tracy or Stacey. I don't know why someone would do that to their son. Or the other way around, giving a very masculine sounding name to a girl. Oh, and congrats on the baby.
Depends on what you mean by unisex. James is a unisex name, but I think of it as a boy name. Ashley is unisex, but I think of it as a girls name. My son is Logan which is a unisex name, but I consider it a boy's name. My soon to be son's name will be Jamison, which once again is a unisex name.
are james and logan unisex names though? never heard of a chick named logan... i think names such as robin(my name), taylor, terry are more unisex
