Well.. Team USA was built for international competition, meaning there is no need for HUGE inside post presences. Since most of it is run and gun anyway. The Heat would win just because Team USA's post game is horrible.
I think a lot of NBA teams could compete reasonably well w/ Team USA. Team USA hasn't gelled at all and have basically no chemistry. By the end of the tourney, it would be a lot closer, but really this Team USA isn't full of great NBA talent, it is 2nd and 3rd tier stars at best. (Outside of Durant and possibly Westbrook).
Derrick Rose and Kevin Durant ARE the team. I'm not happy that Kevin Love, Lamar Odom are post players on the team... Odom is overrated, and Love hasn't had a good NBA career so far... Tyson Chandler is a good player for this sort of team, but he can't carry the post game by himself...
Sorry. Heat would win. But they wouldn't beat the '96 Bulls! 2002 Lakers and '07 Spurs would probably give them a hard time too.
Gay, Rudy Mayo, O.J. Westbrook, Russell Green, Jeff Love, Kevin Rondo, Rajon McGee, JaVale Billups, Chauncey Lopez, Brook Durant, Kevin Iguodala, Andre Gordon, Eric Rose, Derrick Curry, Stephen Chandler, Tyson Granger, Danny Wallace, Gerald Odom, Lamar I see 1 legit superstar and 2 borderline all-stars on this list.
Oh and Danny Granger. I'd say he is better than a borderline all-star, LBJ and DWade are better wings than him.
and who's going to guard rondo and rose? i mean you have people who can give lebron and wade a hard time, plus the heat has no bench. so seriously, how the hell would the heat win?
Wade. Do you remember how ferocious he was on defense during the Olympics when he didn't have to score every point on every possession? He was a certified badass on D, harasing the crap out of people.
Wouldn't it be funny if the Heat lost 3 or 4 in a row to start the season? I say the Heat win 49 games THIS year, but after that....watch out And no the Heat cannot beat Team USA
