And all anyone has to do is look at the freakin' video. The reaction here from a handful of people on the right, and off the field altogether, going from quotes I've seen of basso profundo, would be hilarious if it wasn't depressing to consider that anyone, anyone could defend this child in a woman's body who is the Republican Party candidate for Senator from the Great State of Delaware. Think about that, folks. This ignorant child is the Republican nominee for the United States Senate. As almost everyone here knows, there are only 100 Senators in Congress, and they collectively have enormous power. Individually, they can have great power given their position in the Senate, as well as when they are one of the deciding votes over important pieces of legislation. That what once was a great political party has been reduced to fielding people like O'Donnell of Delaware, Sharron Angle of Nevada, Ken Buck of Colorado, Joe Miller of Alaska and Rand Paul of Kentucky says volumes about just how low that party has sunk. Someone like Everett Dirksen, Senate Minority Leader for more than ten years, couldn't sniff a GOP senate nomination today. Dirksen, a man crucial to the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Howard Baker of Tennesee, former Minority and Majority Leader in the Senate, a man crucial to bringing down Tricky Dick Nixon, couldn't sniff a GOP senate nomination today. Even Ronald Reagan, who's brought up constantly in reverential terms by the far right that dominates this Republican Party, is moderate in comparison to these crackpots. It's incredible to me that the nation has come to this pass, where a radical Supreme Court is tossing out decades of established law to allow vast sums of corporate money to flood the airwaves in support of their own political inclinations. Elections have consequences. Those laughing at O'Donnell today should remember that voting for Bush's two terms in office let him appoint the judges who opened the floodgates. They helped foster the climate that led directly to what is happening now and what will happen on election day. Those judges are there until they die or resign. Thanks a lot.
You know, I remember when Bush got elected I thought it would be funny. I thought he'd be a hokey guy playing cowboy, and that world leaders who were allies would laugh at him, and pat him on the head condescendingly, and it would all be hilarious. Then 9/11 happened and gave him a chance to really mess things up. He did. I also didn't realize how bad it would be having Cheney pulling his puppet strings the way he did.

Bonus points to Coons for jumping right on that. Someone get this girl a real estate license already.
If he hadn't been rejected by UT Law, with a Yale degree, in the hyper-competitive early seventies, he might have gotten on the court himself.
Don't worry Deck. When the DOJ starts investigating Scalia and Thomas and the ensuing impeachment the President will have two more seats to fill.
Because she's ..... stupid. Who wouldn't capitalize on the situation by saying, "Mr. Coons, the phrase 'separation of church and state' is actually not in the Constitution... so, you are incorrect. Not establishing a religion nor preventing the establishment of one is not the same as separating church and state- would you like to debate why????" No, she did not say this at all. At all. If she did, everyone would have said she burned Coons. Want a similar example? Fine: My Cousin Vinny: "Then, you shot the clerk." "Wait a minute- I shot the clerk?" "You shot the clerk." "I shot the clerk."
Good one. It's like the crowd laughing (AT her, not with her) just emboldened her. This is the scene that came to mind for me: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/x-S-eeInJVk?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/x-S-eeInJVk?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Christine O'Donnell, "After that debate my team and I we were literally high fiving each other thinking that we had exposed he doesn't know the First Amendment, and then when we read the reports that said the opposite we were all like "what?"" Frankly this last says enough about her to tell me that I wouldn't vote for her for Senator.
Too true. As if her own stupidity wasn't enough, she apparently compounds it by hiring a staff that is dumber than she is.
