It's just a fact, he's a stupid person. It would be like if I called someone blonde due to the color of their hair.

Do you think black people who have served on juries -- or have plainly never slaughtered other humans -- identify with this sociopath?

Seems like people are a little afraid to admit a failure on the part of the American judicial system because they don't want Exiled to score any points. We don't want to be lectured to by countries that have even worse records than our own. I don't see any danger, though, in admitting fault where we have it and still criticize the Middle East where they deserve it. We do have problems that need fixing; that doesn't undercut the legitimacy of complaints about Saudi Arabia in my mind.

This isn't an example of that though. If it was an example of failure on the part of the American judicial system then fine, but that's not the case here.

Bobby the Great : you have automated response whenever a case like this pope up.

maybe you dont find any sympathy toward such people, nor you have a motive to act different, but here is a few sides of a flip of a coin that contains some similarity that might change your opinion:

both of you and Kenneth Fults born with intellectual challenges , you were blessed and encouraged by people around you calling you : Bobby you are great, but no one called him Fulty The Great, you live off Defence department welfare, while he tasted the bitter life.

someone could afford you a legitimate lawyer , but not in his case
-you may face a less bias jury, in his unfortunate life ,he did not have this luxury.

-he wast evaluated for mental -psychiatric challenges,in your case , you have been privileged with disability benefits.

-for you , this case is a classic example how carrying a gun can comes handy ,i am surprised you did not talk about it ?

    -now check this out :

for the past 4 decades, over 200,000 cases of homicides , 2/3 of those cases end up without identified suspect!
-the law enforcement shifted their attention instead of solving cases, they use this fancy term: pro-active combat of crimes ! meaning , invest somewhere else since we are no longer capable of solving crimes .as you can or cant see, lack of resources one of the main causes of mishandling this case along with poor management

The allegation in the clemency request was that there was a failure, but I don't know enough about the case to say there was a failure or not. It is my belief, however, that the judicial system is flawed in general. It doesn't really matter if the Fults case is an example of that or not (except to Mr. Fults of course!).

Okay....what point are you trying to get at? Are you saying that the system isn't perfect? I agree, I think most people agree. Even without the death penalty, this man's life has been completely taken away and it's a tragedy.....but would he really have been worse off if he had been put to death 40 years ago? I mean, if anything that means he wouldn't have had to be in prison the last 40 years.

Personally, I think we should do away with the justice system until we find a way to ensure nobody will ever be wrongly convicted. Maybe pre-crime will become a reality one day.

It's really the only fair thing to do.

The point is that it's not smart for you to say "He got a fair trial, as far as I can see." You're familiar with the details of this trial? Feel free to list the salient points of the case.

Do you have a list of all the death penalty cases that were "fair . . . as far as you can see" and which ones were not fair, as far as you can see? No. So, you thought it was a fair trial until you thought it was an unfair trial, after you read it on the internet. . . . If they say he's guilty you say "Justice is served!" If they say they made a mistake, you say "Justice is served!"

Feel free to share your list of convicted murderers currently doing time who you think did not get a fair trial. You don't have one. You're just talking out of your ass again. You think everything is a fair trial until someone tells you it wasn't a fair trial.

For someone who accuses others of logical fallacies so much (despite not even knowing what most of them are, like appeal to authority, for example), you sure love to do it yourself. See "Slippery Slope"

Well, you ignorantly suggest that I don't know my fallacies and then don't recognize sarcasm. You're doing a good job kiddo (sarcasm) keep it up.
