Last year, game 7 of the Utah series, it's the 4th quarter and Utah is in the foul penalty for almost half the quarter. What does the Rockets and specifically (it's on me) T-Mac do, they don't drive to the basket. We lost the game there in my opinion, T-Mac played like a dog down the stretch of that game. That pretty much changed my perspective of the guy from that point. I love the guy just as much as everybody, I really really wanna see this Yao/T-mac thing work and I would still say we hold on this year and should try one more time and get a third major scorer in a trade. However, at the end, if it does not work it would be time to trade him while he still has value.
Yeah but at least he is "aggressively" rehabbing it. So for once in his career he is being aggressive about something.
I'm not so sure about that. McGrady has been hobbled by injuries the past several years and his heart has never been more questioned than since he's joined the Rockets. It is extremely unlikely we could get a player as talented as him, let alone a vastly superior talent like Kobe.
I will put this in both threads: Rockets Shake Off Drexler Injury http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P2-4314437.html From: Chicago Sun-Times Date: December 20, 1995 Drexler was carried off the court on a stretcher early in the second period after colliding with Phoenix forward Charles Barkley. Drexler's injury, which required a trip to a hospital, was diagnosed as a deep bruise, and his playing status was listed as day-to-day. The guy tried to play through an injury and it didn't work. So now he's trying to heal. And yet you guys call him a lady for trying to play through and injury, and now call him a lady for not playing through an injury. It's amazing...unless the guy sacrafices himself and loses a leg on the court...no, you still wouldn't be happy. I think t-mac is pretty aggressive, probably the most aggressive player on the team.
I know we would have been lottery.... because we would have had Yao leading the team... and no way a center is going to lead a team to the championship without a good 1 to 3 to pass him the ball... or take over the game.... 5 years of sucking.... maybe could have got us a good guard... Tmac dosent have what it takes to lead us to a victory...never has and never will time for Yao to be second fiddle to someone else... instead of tracie mclady
I didn't say we could get a player as talented as him. I only noted that his name was one of few that was tossed around during the Kobe trade rumors. The point was that we will get more for this version of T-Mac than we would have by trading the current versions of Francis and Mobley.
Sorry last post, got cut off... The general treatment for tendonitis is REST and NSAIDs or corticosteroids (very very rarely). Lets completely mess up our team flow by having Tmac continually play every second game without actually getting better. What happened to giving the team to gel until after the all star break? The general attitude on these boards is atrocious. Do you really need to always find a whipping boy to vent on all your frustrations? Its amazing how people ragged on Rafer for a good month and how all these haters have turned onto Tmac. I guess the bright side is that Rafer gets a breather on the hating
It's not a bruise and you are obviously unfamiliar with that type of injury if you think that you can run and jump with ease after suffering it, DD
But you can't really say that the current versions of Francis and Mobley would have become what they are today had that trade not happened and that nucleus had been given more time to grow. McGrady's name being tossed around was probably more to get other more lucrative offers than anything serious.
wow. you must be blind if you think duncan is nonchalant or stoic. he may not yell and scream or talk mess, but when he plays you can tell he's giving it his all. t-mac yawned during the jazz series, didnt run back when he turned the ball over at the 3 point line. he disappears in spurts in terms of effort. you wont ever see duncan be lazy going after loose balls and rebounds.
If the severity is the same, you have a point, but Tmac nicked his......and has played on it some which means it is not all that serious. But, nice try. Of course it hurts him, but the fact that he played with it, shows that it is not all that bad...and he was playing and moving well until he got it nicked again and then started limping around.... If he can, he should go.....if not...he should sit....but whining about not taking an MRI...etc...makes it very fishy. DD
So what your're suggesting is to play him now rather then have him take a 1 week off to rehab. I guess the next 2 or 3 games has a higher importance then the rest of the season. Thats brilliant.
Yeah, I agree they are as moronic as fools like you who focus on whipping Yao. You are all idiots. Face it.
When did I whip on Yao? If your read my posts, all i've said is that he is one of the 2 best inside scorers in the game. I also noted that he isn't one to carry a team to victory ( Gets doubled teamed and can't get off a decent shot at the end of games). Have I said anything that is incorrect? I think you're the biggest meathead of all
