I imagine its like Frodo watching Gandalf fall in the pit. it was devastating. But Gandalf returns as Gandalf the Grey!
yea, do not despair Pryuen! "..despair is only for those who see the end beyond all doubt. We do not. It is wisdom to recognize necessity, when all other courses have been weighed, though as folly it may appear to those who cling to false hope. Well, let folly be our cloak, a veil before the eyes of the Enemy!" - Gandalf
Gandalf also says "I guess there never was much hope. Just a fool's hope." OH NOES. anyways you guys are all wrong. pryuen is already on the case scouring chinese media for a big update later tonight looking forward to it big guy. hear from you soon
I said it out of pity, not spite. I know how much his world revolves around Yao Ming. If regular Rockets fans like us are feeling so crushed about the news, I wonder how someone like pryuen will take it.
I wonder what Yao's reaction is. I wonder if he's created a drive to prove the doctors wrong (it's been done many a times anyway). I think Yao will be determined to be a part of this year's team and play for a championship. His desire and drive is just too strong for me to grasp that he's done for the season AND playoffs
More Gandalf quote: From the lowest dungeon to the highest peak I fought with the Balrog of Morgoth... Until at last I threw down my enemy and smote his ruin upon the mountain side... Darkness took me, and I strayed out of thought and time... The stars wheeled overhead, and every day was as long as a life age of the earth... But it was not the end. I felt life in me again. I've been sent back until my task is done.
i think pryuen might just simultaneously combust when he gets on the internet.... the pryuen watch is on!!
Thanks for the concern, guys. I'm okay but totally devastated when I woke up 7:30 am to find this heart-breaking news. It was a very very very bad day yesterday. I was told that by my boss that my 2-year contract with my company would not be extended, and I have to leave my current job in the next weeks or so. But that's not the end of the world........ there is always tomorrow. I hate it.....but maybe it's time for me to create a new thread dedicated to Yao Ming rehabilitation (just like what I did in previous years/summer), and continue with the coverage of his speedy recovery and making the 2008 Olympics, which I'm sure he won't want to miss. Oh Gosh.......I just wish I can sleep through all these, and never wake up....... Just nightmare.
Sorry to hear about your job/contract Pruyen. Keep your head up. One year from now, You, Yao, and Rockets will be riding high. Best of luck.
