I made a couple of spelling mistakes because I was in such a hurry, I typed in the wrong letters but who really cares about all that.I could have corrected it but I have more important things to do like actually watching Rocket games something you do not know about Will. Usually when people worry about that they know they are wrong. Like I said Will you bring a losers mentality to bbs because your a once in a while fan. Instead of focusing on nonsense like you did about perfect posts try cheering for your team turncoat!

That is not fair matronix. Will is think of the future of Rockets. He thinks of big picture. He is great administrator and you are too rough to him. Rockets will not win champion this year, so they should think to next year.

Please do not be nasty Matronix. I look at bbs for long time and not post. I see many good post, but sometime people are mean like you. You should stop to respect administrators. They all do great job.

    Go Rockets and Clutchcity.net!

Thanks for cleaning up your spelling, mantronix. Now if you can just figure out punctuation, you'll be able to express your thoughtlessness with perfect clarity.

You're right. I'm such a turncoat I've only been part of this site 10 times longer than you have -- and I've actually kept the same username so everyone knows who I am. I've watched the Rockets so little I'm not yet "sick of Francis and his game." I'm so ignorant I think Michael Jordan was actually a great player who is worthy of respect as a GM. And I have such a loser's mentality (by the way, the apostrophe on your keyboard is right next to the colon -- and since your head's already up it, the apostrophe should be an easy reach), I spend all my energy after every Rockets loss blaming the referees instead of thinking about how my team can improve those aspects of the game that are under its control.

Thank you, Sir, may I have another . . .

    matronix...give it another shot.

    here...I'll start:

"Will. I was so furious when I first read your remarks, because I am such a die-hard Rockets fan, and this BBS is the one place where I have the freedom to fully express my passion for the team. The thought of another Utah clock operator,"

    easy,,,don't explode.

"...another Utah clock operator screwing us out of 6 secs, makes me furious. How could you bring up such bad memories, like Karl..."

    deep breaths

"Malone bear-hugging Drexler while Stockton hits an open 3 to advance to the finals, makes me sick. But then, Will, I realized I was just ready for my morning bowel movement. After I nice relaxing dump, I had a brighter view that allowed me to realize that you were just joking."

It is so naive to think that we're only a lottery pick away from 'kicking butt and taking names'. Between 1980 and now, the Sixers and the Nets have had 11 top ten draft picks (I'm pulling a Dreamshake and doing a little research for this post), the Kings have had 12, the Mavs 14, and the Clippers 15. If lottery picks are all it takes, wouldn't these teams have an insane amount of rings by now? Heck, even the Chicago Bulls, winners of 60% of the championships in the 90s, garnered 9 top 10 picks in the 80s. If we're using the "lottery pick formula" for building our team, don't we have quite a ways to go?

Score a once-in-a-lifetime player, then build a winning attitude. That's the formula for winning in the NBA. History overwhelmingly supports this. If Francis is that guy, then we're in business.

    Freak,

I think we hit the jackpot when we got Francis. I think that he is that guy/player that teams look for to build championships around. Do you know how much rebuilding years we have eliminated with that one trade we made for Francis? I think about 4 or 5, to tell you the truth. I am not very serious about being "one pick away". But, I think that we are much closer than most teams that win championships and usually suck for 8-10 years.

This is first post of mine, so hello to bbs everybody!
i want to say matronix is say things that can be OK but in wrong way. but i disagree and think administrator is right. rockets are good team and can be better with good new player. maybe rockets can play good but lose games like administrator says, and then get toni kukoc (i like toni because i am croatian too!) and also young good player.

ok, no more from me for now. it is good to be part of rocket clutchcity bbs now!

Will, you might have a point there sir.

I hate to see them lose. But, I rather grow, learn and lose (like we are presently doing)and draft big time players to kick ass for the next 10 years than to make the 8th seed and get swept.

People around the league are starting to take notice of the Rocks.

I don't know if this is true, but we have beaten the Lakers TWICE already and we didn't do that with our "championship" team last year. And we have definitely played alot of the upper team alot better this year than last. Growth is going to come and I think we are well on our way to that 1 lottery pick to put us over the top.

So, I am a fair weather fan. I think that EJ0881/Basketball Fan/Drexler85/Mantronix has alot of LHutz in him. But LHutz was funnier.

Hey Freak, the lottery system is based on the assumption that the team picking has personnel with a decent amount of intelligence. So the teams you mentioned (especially the Clips and Mavs) have been in a rebuilding process for a decade or so. The Rockets have been blessed with intelligent front office personnel as well as an extremely smart, savvy coach.

But done't get me started on the Mavs and Clips. I can go all day on wasted lottery picks and trades with those two teams.
