Every good or great coach in NBA history has lost a 13 point lead "and then blew it in like 1 minute," which, by the way, isn't actually what happened in the Dallas game -- I was watching the stats live on Yahoo. I've watched about 13 games this year. I watched about half of the games the two years before that and one of those years every game I didn't watch I was in the BBS chatroom. From 1995-2003, I watched every single game. I've watched somewhere between 50 and 100 Rockets games live in the arena. And I've been a diehard Rockets fan since around 1976. Don't pretend you know more about The Rockets or basketball than I do. You don't. I'm not confused about why you think JVG sucks. I know exactly why. It's because you're stupid.
Yeah, like how the Spurs blew a 10 point lead with less than a minute left in the game with t-mac scoring 13 points in 33 seconds (Who could EVER forget that?). And so by bplld's standards, Greg Popovich is a horrible coach!

i am in total agreement with this. only thing i really liked about jvg is when he made up that bogus story about yao officiating conspiracies... (what a dork - but props to him for bringing attention to it for 100k or whatever he paid) to me jerry sloan's team being 12 games over .500 is way more impressive than jvg's team being 10 games over .500.

Awsome Post...I have said it in the past, JVG deserves coach of the year consideration if we keep playing at this level. Look what he has dones this year with all the injuries. How can we complain being 10 games above 500?
jvg is doing good with this team but not the best a elite coach could do. This is a team with talent way above a 6th seed and 9games over .500 with even a injury bugged lakers ahead of them. And if you compare the talents on the lakers to the talents of on the rockets... dayum headcoach does make a difference, I wonder if this thread would even exist if phil jackson is sitting on the rockets bench for 3 years
Ok first, in response to Durvasa, Tmac's 13 were when he was comletely covered and just on fire. THe last play where Brown tried to push for a foul was pretty danm stupid though. And yes other teams have blown leads, but not on the consistent basis we have. The leads we blew were gone before you could snap your fingers. That plus we do this from night to night. Tell me we dont have a habit of blowing big leads. Batman Jim or whatever your name is, stop freaking out. What does you watchin basketball in 1776 have to do with anything? This is 2007. Was JVG our coach in 2003? I didnt question how good of a rockets fan you are or whether you are smarter than me. So you guys watched this game and dont think it was bad coaching? YOu dont think pulling Bonzi when he was winning us the game was stupid? Putting Rafer back in the game and letting him single handedly lose us the game wasnt stupid? We fukin had this game in our pocket. The nuggets outscored us like 20 to 5 to finish the game. You dont think its bad coaching?
