That's the thing. Some people get off on opportunities to be *mean*, while trying to hide behind 'being funny' or 'speaking truth'. To me, she was just taking easy pot-shots at defenseless targets. It was just plain mean. There are ways to get a point across without being rude and mean. She just reminds me of a bully. People see through that crap. That's why all the negative backlash - not so much that the things she says are *wrong*, as much as the fact that she was just using that facade to try to give herself cover so she could take some free shots at all the 'fatties' who so disgust her. More power to her though - it's a free country, she has freedom of speech, and I would be the first person in line to defend her right to say what she wants. But if she's going to have the sack to stand up and say reprehensible crap like that, then hopefully she has enough sack to handle the fallout.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/aeUaJ8HjNVs" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Some of you guys will hate this LOL. I thought it was a bit extreme but there are certainly some truths to this.
I laughed, because it's true; we really have lowered the bar (edit: on reflection probably not the point DS was making, but it's why I laughed). What used to be fat is now just 'thick' or 'dad-bod', and now one essentially has to have a medical condition to qualify. 'Merica!
I guess offended would be me having a problem with them when theyre not even in my field of vision or range of smell. Im not upset that theyre fat, I just dont want to be around it. Im disgusted if I so happen to be at a buffet for example and an overly obese family come in and heavily breathe all over the buffet windows with stains on their shirts and have an odor of a dead rat every time they lift their rolls. Im genuinely disgusted enough to eat and want to leave. Does that make any sense? Cause in my head it does.
The first thing I thought when I started the video was that this Jenna Marbles girl has either gotten slightly more ugly or is wearing slightly less makeup. I was shocked it was a different person because her act seems completely identical.
Weight and conditioning do not go hand in hand. Generally they correlate, because if you do run often you'll be burning a lot of calories from the cardio. Of course you can always overeat (or overdrink) and offset the calories burned. Of course there is a limit and this only really applies for slightly overweight people.
That's my favorite rape joke. (That feels weird to say) But yeah, it's long been my opinion that if you can tell a funny rape joke then you're probably a damned good comedian. Louis CK obviously fits the bill.
Obv. not a 1st Amendment issue or anything like that, but does anyone else think that it's complete chickens*** that YouTube took down her channel over this?
Nah. I'm a runner. I ran a lot but developed bad eating habits because I burned so many calories running that I could eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight. But then I got a stress fracture during a half marathon and had to stop. My eating habits bit me in the butt while I was healing and I gained 30 lbs. But I can still run. I didn't lose all my conditioning. I can't run 15+ miles right now but I can still run a 10K at a decent pace. Pretty sure I could still get under 7:00 for a mile if I needed to.
6'1", 213. Current BMI is 28.1. Like I said, I'm just "kind of" fat. I actually look pretty normal by today's standards. But I've been obese and the last 5 lbs I gained really made me feel like I'm getting into that territory again. Luckily, I'm running again and I should start going back down soon. Well, my name comes from the jazz saxophonist, Julian "Cannonball" Adderley, who got his nickname when a friend of his tried to call him a "cannibal" because of how much he ate.
I found one of her videos for Jontro Spoiler <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/-m4f7Q6Qq6k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
This guy speaks the truth! no child should ever be overweight! Adults shouldn't be overweight either! Get on your bike and pedal, walk, box, something! Don't just sit there and eat burgers till you pass out.. Both videos were truth.. America is sad.
