I'm all for the concept that western hegomony has been overall horrible for the global South through neo colonialism extraction.

However I've seen videos of that guy give and he gives off Bin Laden vibes in the sense that the first half of his rants are valid issues and then he rants about how America deserves harm also because of their degenerate values like open sexuality of women and acceptance of homosexuality because I think the dude is some fundamentalist Muslim convert who probably has some very disturbing views on women and has a mixture of reasonable criticisms of western society while also claiming America is a failure because of things like women lingerie ads.

In other words that dude gives off uncomfortable vibes.

That video wasnt a religious position for me. Im a deprogrammed Christian who has spent decades trying to learn and understand everyone else as a student of sociology and philosophy. This was a succinct and blunt assessment of the political system in the US and other parts of our world. I dont agree with this mans religious fervor or zeal at all. He does however remind me of what many before us said was on the horizon due to the innate faults and flaws of man and our perceptions of worth.

It reminds me of a sign my father in law has hanging in his garage who was a POW in Vietnam: "We the unwilling, led by the unqualified to kill the unfortunate -- die for the ungrateful"

It is definitely a two party system, but everyone here fighting with one another is on the same side and sad part is they pretend not to know it.

I think there is a material difference between the two parties when it comes to creating problems and hatred.

I don't see either of the parties as entities that solve problems. I only see these parties as entities that can create problems and I'm worried the GOP creates more problems because their go to political strategy is scapegoating powerless groups of people.

So ya I'm not looking to the DNC to solve problems. I just vote for them to maximize harm reduction. I don't want the side that labels migrants as a violent invasion force being anywhere close to power. That doesn't mean I believe Democrats solve problems. They don't. They push for the status quo and we set the bar so low where the choice is status quo or fascism.

If you yourself were a Dem strategist, your side would have been pummeled even more as if it was possible given the ass kicking you just received.

You’re the one who’s always preaching to people here in this forum that you need self awareness. News flash, the American voters soundly rejected you far lefties.

Look at the state of affairs on a few of the hot buttons from my perspective who broke the chains of politics long ago.

War in Gaza = How many Palestinians voted for Trump as an act of defiance towards Harris and the position of the Biden administration? Then the majority of Jews voted for Harris because they have a profound understanding of fascist politics in history (rightfully so). Somehow however the Jewish government is happy holding hands with Trump over the extinction of the Palestinian people! Isnt that heartbreakingly ironic to you? The so-called far left position of "stop the genocide" folded neatly in the lap of American apathy towards the price of a carton of eggs! "Dont burn my flag" they will scream at you while they desecrate the same flag with the name and likeness of a demagogue. "The American people spoke" when only 50% of the population even bothers to vote! Morbidly fascinating.

So in essence American Palestinians and their electorate condemned themselves to annihilation to "own the libs" -- tough scene.

Those same staunch Israel supporters suddenly lose steam towards helping Ukraine though and "Us First" politics becomes important again when they can define the meaning of ally dependent on the return on investment. My first thought is that Europe should police its own, but I cant help but remember the Reagan speech at Point du Hoc and this passage specifically:

"We in America have learned bitter lessons from two World Wars: It is better to be here ready to protect the peace, than to take blind shelter across the sea, rushing to respond only after freedom is lost. We’ve learned that isolationism never was and never will be an acceptable response to tyrannical governments with an expansionist intent."

To capture the full context Reagan went on to say immediately afterwards that reconciliation and peace with the Soviet Union should be the course of action. At what expense I wonder? The hypocrisy getting more and more stunning as the years go on as Im barely getting over the knee slapper on how we went from incapable voting machines and the such to "everything's fine" in a snap!

Did you hear Abbott the other day: "Well hold on now we know we gotta get out all the illegals, but thats a big undertaking and its going to take some time" -- translation "we are going to enjoy the cheap labor as long as we want. We won. We got what we wanted so now just leave us alone down here." The border will be miraculously fixed and everyone is whistling through the wheatfields.

If they really wanted to fix illegal immigration they could just arrest the business owners who are employing them and knowingly taking those jobs from Americans, but then you'd be arresting the very donors who put you in office! What a conundrum!

I hope you guys break the chains of politics some day and learn to live truly free. Its the most rewarding gift you will ever give yourself. Politics and cults and to a lesser degree religion (even though I am more empathetic to faith based worldviews) are a result of loneliness and fear within the human condition. Learn to see things for what they are and not to confuse "change" with any sort of meaningful or lasting improvement for one side or the other because as they flip the court the score goes to zero and they just undo what the other side "fixed".

We are all just line items, SSNs, and "worker bee" equations in their P&L reports. All assigned a value at birth due to "extenuating" circumstances, but we cant seem to apply that same thinking to the actions of our leaders in a universal context vs our selfish bubble because so many feel bereft of wins that we would even sacrifice our neighbor for a cheaper tank of gas. We have become a "Me Ass" society on the road to Idiocracy.

The Dems will find a loud voice of their own soon. He will appeal to the emotion of Middle America in quite the same way Trump has once everyone can no longer ignore the corruption, lies and incompetence for the sake of ridding their timelines of gay and trans acceptance which they feel is being forced upon them.

Would have been an easy win, but the Dems played too nice and were seen as soft by a populace who wanted a fighter. Dont expect that again. The next (D) Prez candidate will make Donald Trump look tame in regards to message delivery.

It doesn't matter who the Democrat or Republican puppet is that is in office at any given time.

Nobody failed anything and nobody proved anything...

This stuff just goes back and forth. There's been roughly the same number of democrat and republican presidents. The Dems will get back in there sooner rather than later (most likely in 4 years). People get all riled up over this stuff the same way we do about sports. Your team won the championship...this time...

But unlike sports, there are no Dynastys when it comes to president.

The American people rejected a early aughts GOP themed campaign trying to bring back 2004 vibes with Cheney, talking about wanting the most lethal military, buying into the right wing framing of the border etc.

    "Elitist head"

Defends obsessively a man who said that migrants poison the blood of this country as president.

Kamela was not the dream candidate box checked off.

Trump promised too much and lied too much, will have difficulty keeping promises.....seems to have boxes checked.
