box scores in no way tell the entire story. hes horrible guarding the perimeter now compared to previous years. he still sucks at Ft's. he still can only dunk. everything about his game is based on athleticism. thats on the way down

You can tell DeAndre's conditioning has been lacking the last few seasons.

DJ's footwork is terrible. do you even know what footwork is? obviously not bc you're trying to attribute it to his team not playing well when it has 0 to do with it

this guy couldn't even average a full block a game. hes easily on the decline especially with the way the game has now evolved. much slower on the perimeter, can't finish in any other way besides a dunk, lack of footwork. the people impressed by his box score numbers are easily being fooled into thinking hes great

Capela just outplayed both KAT and Goubert in 7 game series and is 23.

He was also able to stay on the floor against the Warriors and not get exploited on switches...

If he opts out I would take him for the MLE....half of the MLE that is. He would be a great backup to Capela. 48 minutes of PnR lobs at the 5.

Well if he’s willing to play for the suns I’m sure he’s willing to pay for the clippers. Anywhere he’d be making max money. You’d get Tobias back or another expiring contract to make the salaries work. That’s the contract you take back to use for a LBJ trade. Or include a third team like Indiana to get a non-guaranteed back to use for trade.

    Definitley not impossible.

He’s only 29. He’s not yet on the decline.

IMO it’s because there’s a strong likelihood we’ll be paying the same amount of money for Capela next season for the center position. Capela maybe better longer term and if we’re just considering the center position then no you wouldn’t trade him.

But if you trade him you get an asset back to use for a trade that can help facilitate a trade for LBJ or PG13. To me that makes it worth it. Salary stays the same for the center position with less upside for the future but you get a superstar wing player which is more important against GS.

Depends also on how big the discount we're talking about is, cause if it's like 18M against 23M, i take Clint at 23M with no esitation, if it's 8.5M well, you have my attention.

If he can facilitate Ryan Anderson being move . .. . . DO IT!!!
I think Capela obviously has more upside

Yeah, and if the asset you get back is pretty good, that should also give you a chance to keep Gordon.

And just to be clear, i don't want to move Capela, i want him to be here as much as possible, but if it's between him and Lebron well, you get Lebron.

TBH, I was thinking less than that. I think he would take 5M just to be at home so he can eat crawfish.
