Wonder what he works on in practice other than lobs. Lucky he's tall...and playing alongside Chris Paul. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/kncuw9KfVWY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
What percentage of his freethrows does he airball or hit off the backboard? It must be at least 1 out of 10. I was anticipating a really bad shot on that first attempt, and he didn't disappoint.
I'll never understand why you give your teammate a high five (or low five, whatever you want to call it), after they miss a free throw. It's like those people that do horrible in sports, but their teammates are telling them way to be there. If "being there" was enough, you should just use a pole and stick it into the ground and consider that your teammate.
It's just a routine to keep things consistent. Sticking to a checklist/routine tends to keep the mind and body relaxed and focused. This is in any sport.
They should have a free throw contest in the all star weekend, featuring the worst FT shooters in the league. That would have been a lot more fun than the lame slam dunk contest.
As I've said before about his game overall, Deandre has very high reach that you really can't see on the screen. Seeing him live, you'd think he could get 20 rebounds a game. Its no wonder he's a blocked shots leader. As far as SHOOTING touch though...yeah there's only so much that workouts with Hakeem can do. Deandre might get low post footwork down MAYBE, but he still needs touch to make those shots. A "De Shake" turnaround jumper could be brutal looking but comedic
