You are clearly a Dallas fan, parsons as your primary ball handed would destroy Houston? nothing to see here guys carry on.
Parsons can hardly create for his own and then if you minigate DJ to the low post you already won half the battle. JH & DH > CP & DJ easily.

Destroy us? I don't think so. Jordan is an upgrade over Chandler(aside from free throw shooting), but keep in mind that Dallas will have to sign an entirely new backcourt since Ellis is gone and they're done with Rondo. Also, Aminu may no longer be affordable, so there goes a quality backup(and occasional starter). The Mavs would have around 50 mil tied up in 5 players(Parsons, Jordan, Dirk, Harris, Felton) with the latter 2 being mediocre backups. Will they have enough left over to field a quality team around that core? Or will they just become the LS(Lone Star) Clippers who have a Big Three and very little else?
um the clippers as constructed are currently better than the mavs at every spot bar SF and they couldn't beat us with 2 starters injured.
As a ten time member of Clutchfans, I obviously don't like Dallas, but in general it is good for the NBA and NBA ratings when Dallas fields a strong team. Thus I really hope DJ comes back home to Texas.
I just feel whoever signs Deandre to a max deal will regret it especially Dallas because they don't have an above average PG. He relies too much on his athleticism, can't shoot FT's and doesn't have an offensive skill set besides lobs and putbacks.
puahah as of now losing ellis and just adding DJ would make them worse than last year. and they weren't even that good last year
He's worth the max based on defense. Nobody is expecting him to score 20 or get better from the line.
The Mavericks adding Wes Matthews (assuming a return to health) and DeAndre Jordan would be good for them, but I don't see how it makes them significantly better than they were last year. I'd take Wes over Monta and Jordan over Chandler probably, but I don't think the margins are outrageous.
Well I was wrong; guess his numbers go up with no CP3 or Griffin: DeAndre Jordan 2013-14 Season: January 4 to February 7, 2014 (no CP3) Points 10.4, 11.2 Rebounds 13.6, 15.0 Def Rebounds 9.5, 10.6 Off Rebounds 4.0, 4.4 Blocks 2.5, 2.5 Steals 1.0, 1.1 FG% 0.676, 0.655 DeAndre Jordan 2014-15 Season February 9 to March 13, 2015 (no Griffin) Points 11.5, 15.4 Rebounds 15.0, 19.1 Def Rebounds 10.1, 13.0 Off Rebounds 4.8, 6.1 Blocks 2.2, 1.4 Steals 1.0, 1.3 FG% 0.71, 0.685

DJ has a tattoo of the Astros, he reps Houston, no true Houstonian would sign with Dallas unless they had absolutely no choice. In DJ's case, he could get the same money in LA.
I understand we are Houston fans and Dallas is the enemy but come on.......... Dallas having an offseason that gets them Deandre Jordan and Wesley Matthews/Danny Green would be damn impressive tbh. Monta Ellis did good things but dude played no defense, Harden plays better D and he was a locker room cancer. Dallas would be a hell of a lot better without Ellis and Rondo destroying em internally. Still not title contenders obviously but better than last year
