How about Brooks, Jefferies, Bud for Nazr, Livingston and 1 first rounder?
We get a PG with size, ability to play multiple spots, and athleticism. Nazr is an expiring and a decent center on both sides. And a first rounder since we are giving more talent then getting. And our rotation mess would be cleared up! They would get a talented pg in brooks, another young prospect to play, and the versatile JJ.

    Lowry/Livingston/Ish/Lee
    Martin/Lee/Williams/Livingston
    Battier/Williams/Livingston
    Scola/Hill/Patterson
    Nazr/Miller/Hayes/Hill

That is the question, I think it may be....Landry had a 2 year deal and was a restricted Free Agent.

I think it is the Gilbert Arenas rule, ....but Bima would be the guy on this one.

Some of the same posters talking about bbiq doesnt even know what that means in the slightest terms. I could probably put those same posters in a setting and tell them what to do and still couldnt execute the play, lol. In regards to jordan, who knows how much better he can be? His defensive awareness is ok and so is his offensive awareness. He has a good stroke, needs repetitions. No one said he would be like hakeem, but there nothing wrong with a guy who dunks anything close, blocks shots, rebound. Isnt that what ben wallace was in his abosolute prime. There is something called player development. CD can at least teach him the hook like he did hill and without question,he's more fluid and explosive than hill. If he's 3m, why not for a 22 yr old guy. What could anderson do until his last few years in his comeback. People need to stop being close minded about things. Scola didnt do alot against him in the post and when he started crowding scola at the ft line, scola threw up some bad shots. I think he can get better, just a matter of how much better.

I want to see more of his perimiter game....If he can knock down a 10fter and operate with his back towards the basket I say get him now!!But the Clips would be fools to let him walk.....Surprised they havent offered him a extention??

For 2nd rounders, the qualifying offer rookie scale continuation doesn't apply (4th year rookie scale) like we did with Aaron Brooks, but at year 3, you're still a RFA even as a 2nd rounder.

Restricted free agency exists only on a limited basis. It is allowed following the fourth year of rookie "scale" contracts for first round draft picks (see question number 42). It is also allowed for all veteran free agents who have been in the league three or fewer seasons.

    http://members.cox.net/lmcoon/salarycap.htm#Q37

So, if a 2nd round pick has been in the league three or fewer years then they are a restricted FA. The "Gilbert Arenas Rule" as previously mentioned.

DJ is Blake Griffin's best friend on the team. Griffin would be pissed if they didn't resign DJ. Plus, DJ seems to be a better fit playing alongside Blake than Chris Kaman...

Can't believe no one brought this up yet. Pop quiz, who did the Rockets pick with the 3rd pick in the 2nd round of the 08 draft instead of Deandre? In Morey we trust.

Don't see him getting a big enough offer for the Clippers not to match.

Would be a good FA option though.

Not sure if he's really worth it, maybe if he's inexpensive.

He looks like a project, but one that can block shots and rebound. Man, his 40% college and pro FT percentage (I haven't seen a player whose FG% is higher than his FT% in a while) is absolutely hor-awful.

I was mad when Rockets passed on him.. we needed a back-up and he was projected as a lottery pick before he fell in the 2nd round.

Yeah, if we drafted him, with his second round rookie salary that would have been the perfect price to get him. We picked Joey Dorsey two picks before him.. looks like a minor mistake was made (and if he develops into a good player, a decent sized one).

Morey has made tons of mistakes by not taking an athletic big.....he even went out of his way this year to make it known that Patrick was not small, but average size for a PF.

I think he knows he has blown it on bigs.

Fair enough. Well, at least he works not to repeat mistakes (like trading for Hill, and Patterson will become solid eventually I think).

No one's perfect, but he still gets high marks for getting it right the majority of the time so far.
