You don't think T-Mac will recover from his injuries? Or you think a healthy T-Mac is still going to be cancer?

NY will keep bothering us for mcgrady. he gives them an expiring contract + someone who can come in about a month or 2 into the season and help them make a playoff push in the weak east. they can easily make the playoffs with tmac.

    keep them askin'.

I am sure this is not the only deal Morey will be getting for TMac but TMac value is not that high anyways. Morey will be getting busy in about 3 minutes it is almost 11:00 central which is 12:00 midnight eastern the star of FA signings.

We might as well tank, and let T-Mac's contract number come off for ourselves in the offseason, since Curry's number goes through 2011

You'd take both Hughes and Curry?

And just because Jeffries is 6'11'' doesnt mean he can big with the bigs.

    McGrady +Brooks/Landry/??? or Mobley(80% insured) +Brooks/Landry/???

A Mobley based package is more attractive because it does not gut the other team and $7.6M of insurance money coming their way is certain.

I don't see the Rockets keeping Mobley if they pull such a deal.

The only problem is Curry's contract eats into 2010 FA cap space.

I would rather tank next year and try and net ourselves something in next years free agent pool.

I want nothing to do with that fat, lazy good for nothing Eddy Curry. He has a nice offensive game in spurts but his contract is an absolute cap killer.

Unless there's some hidden loophole or it's part of a 3-way (and we net something else besides Curry & Mobley), there is no way in hell Morey is touching this. I can't even fathom how someone came up w/ this crap.

Better to let T Mac's contract expire before doing a garbage trade like this.

I can see us using Tmac's contract to help either NJ or NY in their pursuit of LeBron and Bosh next year, but NY better sweeten the deal, like throwing in Danilo Galinari (not that we'd keep the guy necessarily, but could use him in a side deal).

Otherwise, we'd wind up with Eddy Giant-Tub-of-S**t Curry for the next two years, unless we can use him in a deal next year when his contract becomes an expiring one.

Yes, I'm sure that bum Eddy Curry fits right into Morey's master plan.

Considering right NOW Morey is meeting with Gortat, I'd say it is safe to say were not looking at a deal with the Knicks involving Curry.

Curry better be in the best shape of his life if this deal goes through, cause nobody will put up with his BS here in Houston.
