If Rudy coaches with cancer, then we're in trouble.

If Rudy's cancer is cured, then Les can fire him without a public backslash.

    Get well soon Rudy. :)

Too bad player movement can't happen for 2 months (I assume after the playoffs). So we're in for a long wait before anything actually happens.

Of course Rudy could be gone before then. He's a great coach and has proved it on multiple occasions (2 NBA Championships and all that Olympic qualifying stuff). Unless he wants to retire I'd be really dissapointed to see him go.

I am not trying to be a hater or denying their knowledge, seriously.

...but why are posters like Doc Rocket and oeilpere so credible??

Why does everyone believe what they have to say?

do they jusy know the right people? I've never really paid attention to these types of threads, until this one.

There's always the outside chance that Rudy is *requesting* such a move, despite his comments to the contrary. Depending on the severity of his condition, he might want to cut back on stress, travel, dealing with Stevie and Cat, etc.

If Rudy gets moved to the front office and Griffin and Mobley are dealt for competent players, I feel pretty decent about our not making the playoffs. This thread just made my day. I mean, after watching Phoenix battle the Spurs, I have little doubt that we had no business being in the playoffs.

    We played well against Sacramento.

Don't think for a second that we had no right to be the playoffs.

Some teams match up better than others.

The Suns are just lucky they drew a team they perform well against.

I don't think there would be as big a deal made about it as some of you suggest. Rudy's smart enough to read the writing on the wall, I'm sure he see's that four lottery years in a row is almost a sure death sentance in todays NBA, even if you're a local legend. He'll go along with the script, "He's stepping down" or "He's moving up into the friont office".

PS, all he said was "Not Bad". That could mean anything. Let's not blow this out of proportion........yet.:)

    MAN. lol.

Doc Rocket is not going to respond again in this thread.

    The suspense..

    Man.

It's going to be an interesting summer. :D

I just hope there are changes...GOOD CHANGES.

Rudy is always good at acting and speaking. I think he would do a fine job moving to the office...even though he has already said like 20 times that he is definitely going to be back next season. ;)

    JUST WAIT AND SEE.

I really would not be surprised if Rudy steps down, his excuse will be his health. However, it could be a pressure thing from Les, i don't think he would actually fire him.

You know someone in the Rocket Organization?

Although the speculation might be true, your post means little considering you don't name a source.

Not saying this is real or not, but how could you expect him to name his sources? Doc doesn't, pops doesn't....If they did, they'd be cut off.

Dude, I hope so. I don't need to hear about insider this and that.
It's plain obvious we need need this.

I hope there are more moves, too. Don't stop there. Be aggressive. Remake the team. Be a champion, not a chump.

I fail to see what legitimacy Doc Rockets' "Not bad..." adds to Bag0b0y's post.

What poster with at least an average knowledge of the Rockets couldn't put together a "Mobley and maybe Griffin" trade? Does anyone really think Yao and Francis (BYC) will be traded? Other than Rice's expiring contract, what else is there to trade?

And "Rudy T out the door"...c'mon guys...given the circumstances of Rudy's illness and the lack of Les's total support in the press recently, is this really news?

I for one am not going to confuse speculation with insider knowledge.

Has anyone ever accused Doc Rocket of not having a sense of irony? Or at least not having a sense of humor?

I doubt RudyT would be flat out fired. He'd more likely get moved into some paper pushing front office position. I don't doubt Les would be considering getting a new coach though. Rudy has signed some very questionable contracts and his new "motion" offense was a miserable failure. If two players were to be moved it'd probably be Mobley and Griffin, Rice also. I guess I believe. lol :)

The riddle or conspiracy theory will always creates an image of "privileged information."

    ;)

You know. All cloak and dagger.
