I would trade him if there was a potential better player we could get, but I just don't think that trade exists right now. Maybe this offseason we will have a chance to unload him, but 40m remaining is a lot to ask a team to absorb. I think we should just stick with what we got, unless there is some role player swap that helps (Black+filler for Dedmon has been floated out there).
The more I think about Ryno leaving, and us not getting another stretch PF in return, the more hesitant I get and want to wait until the summer and just include him in the Lebron opt-in/trade multi-team deal. But Morey knows what he's doing, so maybe he's already got a future buyout guy lined up at PF.
? Zach Randolph? I don’t think the kings will buy him out because he has become a mentor figure for Willie Collie Stein and valuable vet leader in general
Am I the only one that wants to keep Anderson? Rather than give up two 1st rd picks? I'm not sure if there is a major upgrade out there unless we trade Gordon.
I think that unless he is being moved as a clear salary dump because Lebron is coming here, then you hold onto him until his contract becomes an asset. He isn't a zero on the floor by any means. He serves our system perfectly. Does he have off nights? Yes, but we have plenty of fire power to offset those nights.
When he is hitting open threes and getting offensive boards he is worth that contract. He’s been big for us in a lot of games this year.
Sounds to me that Ryan had been slumping because he knows they want to move him. Glad he has started to try to make himself more attractive to other teams. I don’t think we want someone with a checked out mindset to be an important part and highly paid part of our team in the playoffs. I’m hoping Morey can work his magic before the deadline, but that contract is TOUGH.
Cows are on earth to feed us beef and have milk extracted from them. They just need to deal with it. A moo screams across the abattoir.
I have no idea who's defeated, but we're trying to win championship (or 2) here. All I know is that our interior defense, rim protection, and rebounding are holes. When we get in the playoffs, we'll be playing teams that can lean in and exploit all of that to stay in games. I think the roster needs to be balanced to solve this. Now, I hate to be negative. Actually, I don't think I'm negative, just realistic. Yes, we are so much better on defense. Yes, CP3 and Harden are simply phenomenal to watch. I love how much this team pulls for each other and works together. It's so refreshing to be over the hump of 3-5 years ago. But, I think this team is still a piece away not unlike the Astros were. My recommendation: pull the trigger (or push the lead domino, whatever metaphor you like), we have to add that late Verlander-like trade. Change like this isn't easy. But we'll be better for it. I just don't want to play seven games and have such obvious weaknesses.
verlander is one of the top pitchers in all of baseball. A player of that caliber and game changer for the game of basketball is not realistically obtainable by tomorrow
Or LeBron is defeated, since cod made the comment in context of 3 team trade. Morey needs to get on phone with Orlando, they are ripe to make moves.
Sounds like his friend NeNe is telling him he is feeling the age and injuries catching up to him and he knows the end is near. I think he should be reduced to spot duty and we try to find a big to replace Black on the roster that can be a better backup to Clint. Is it just me or do yall think JSmoove would be a good fit on this team? He defends in the paint, rebounds well, can handle the ball and create a little bit, and he can catch alley-oops from James and Chris. Can be had for pro-rated vet min now. Im just saying this if we cannot pull of a minor trade or get a buyout vet.
Nene is semi washed. Morey should have never given him that contract. Good thing we can easily trade it
Wait a minute, he still produces when he is out there. Not dominant, but he does some stuff. He can still put it on the floor and attack the rim and finish strong. He just cannot do that for long stretches of games. He still provides that physical presence out there that Clint nor Ryan can provide. I think he needs to be 3rd string now and find another back up to Clint.
Thanks for the update @Codman. Hate the sound of Nene "defeated." Does he feel he will be traded? Or does he feel beaten down because of minutes or role? Not sure how to take that.
