I like the idea of a big futuristic "R" as the logo on the unis with deep red and silver as the colors. I'd definately be happy with that over what we have now. ;)

An R doesn’t sound that bad, just as long as it’s not too big and snazzy. I personally think an H would look better on a jersey because it's symmetrical, but I guess a Houston H might hurt jersey sales in China so that's out the window.

The Miami Hurricanes have a U on their jerseys and I think it looks pretty cool.

I don't think I buy it either.. cause no way anyone has poor taste like that unless it was the clown designer.

I've been wondering for a while about the absolute worst thread at cc.net and here it is. This thread has crushed the competition.

If azinlincolnpark (or whatever his moniker was) got banned by Clutch for just posting little faces, how can we tolerate DCballer making multiple posts that literally contain "no info?"

To help this thread turn the corner, I have a suggestion. Since there is no real or reliable information about the uniforms here, let's speculate about DCballer's uniform. Perhaps he wears a polo and jeans. Perhaps he wears an Arbee's jumpsuit with Arbee's visor. Perhaps she is wearing super low-riding jeans that show off a navel ring and the tops of red thong underwear. Perhaps he wears a big moomoo with a big R on the front.

I dunno. Let the speculation begin.

I agree - a symmetrical letter would look better. Maybe they have a backwards R and a regular R combined, you know.

However it is, pretty much everyone and their mother who have seen the jersey have said that it is crimson/red and silver, and that there is a big R on it somewhere. I think it is safe to assume that it is the case, or it is something even stranger and everyone is just setting us up for that.

The question is: to those who have seen the ridiculous R concept, is it really cool, or is it just cool because you're a Rockets fan and you don't want to bash them some more?

Sorry, but after I thought about it for a while. I really decided that it was to easy to get people busted for posting this. However I soon realized that everybody had already copied everything I wrote. Everything I said is true and time will tell. Infact if it's it not the powers that be can ban me.

he never said the jerseys had a big 'R' on the front, he just said the logo was a R, instead of the disney rocket. the jerseys still probably say 'houston' and 'rockets' on the front

This is what the "R" is going to look like.

The two legs on the letter "R" are going to be flames and the hump on the letter is going to resemble a tilted Rocket firing away towards the right. There will be some smoke graphics surrounding the rocket so as to make the whole thing look more like a hump to resemble the letter R. Thats my guess at least.

    Enjoy!

If they are going with the R logo that idea of yours would'nt seem bad. I don't know but am I the only one who actually likes the current logo. I mean they could just remove the teeth and add "Houston" in small letters above "Rockets". I have never seen an NBA team have a logo with just a letter

    DCballer,

I'm just curious. What new information did you give us in this thread that we did not already get from Doc Rocket and other sources a couple of weeks ago?

The R as a logo? No.

The red and silver colors? No.

So I'm just curious what all the top secret crap is all about when you are giving us info we have had for a couple of weeks now.

    crash,

I didn't read Doc Rocket's post. I find this interesting. If you don't, then you don't have to bash the guy really. If anything, it's nice that 2 sources are confirming basically the same thing.

Here is a link to the first thread that discussed the letter R insead of the word Houston or Rockets.

    http://bbs.clutchcity.net/php3/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55698

Doc Rocket first chimes in on page 2. There was also another thread that discussed the colors Red and Silver along with a Houston Chronicle article that talked about the Rockets going to Red and Silver.

The 1st thread is only about 10 pages long so I don't see how you missed it.

And I am not slamming DCballer, I am jjust asking a simple question. After all he is the one talking about people getting busted because he is posting too much info when infact he has posted nothing new. He has multiple two word posts of "no info" so all I want to no is what has he posted that is new.

BTW, here is the link to the chronicle story that tells us the uni's are going to be red and silver.

    http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/story.hts/features/hoffman/1887618

Not the bright red the team wore during its championship seasons in the '90s, but a deep, lush, corpuscle red. The secondary color looks to be silver.
