Well, that was... exciting. The only thing that really happened was Dick Justice getting WTFPWNED by the Astros. In the end, I guess it's the little things that matter. Oh, and Timmy P is still FAT. Faaaaaaaat! Fatty-fatty-bo-batty. Timmy is so fat, when he auditioned for a role in Raiders of the Lost Ark, he got the part of the big rolling ball. Timmy is so fat, he jumped and got stuck in thin air. Have another twinkie, fatty. You've earned it. (Satisfied now, RM95?)
Again, please stop acting like this is all he does. You and the other haters act like he's holding press conferences to announce the team's payroll or that he's not making any money. Bull. ****. If you can provide 20 links to 20 different times he's said this during this baseball season, I would really appreciate it and take back my criticisms. If not, do me a favor and quit your anti-Drayton nonsense. You don't like him, we get it. No need to resort to lies.
Nationals announced they did not trade Soriano they will try and workout a long term deal. per espn news
Guess we'll just stay on this side of the hump. Got a nice little patch of grass set up and all. We'll reload this offseason, but I don't think we're going to see the playoffs for a couple years. Evan
I hate ESPN. They tell you coming up they are going to talk about Brad Lidge, and then you sit their for 10 minutes waiting and then they go to commercials again and now they are interviewing some random pitcher.
Dude, my source is Richard Justice. (I thought that was implied.) He invited me over to watch Shattered Glass this weekend. EDIT: BTW, this is for you, Timmy P. You tried your best and lost. Way to hustle like Ryan Bowen, though.
From the ESPN analyst here on the ESPN live chat (Gary Gillette), Soriano was not traded because Jim Bowden got greedy and tried to get too much for Soriano, and the clubs that wanted him refused.
i'm no drayton hater, but the team's web site did post the following story five days ago with this quote from mclane: ""We're really not close to anything right now," McLane said. "We have a $106 million budget -- it's the third-highest in Major League Baseball. I hope that shows to all of our fans our commitment to winning." http://houston.astros.mlb.com/NASAp...ontent_id=1575497&vkey=perspectives&fext=.jsp i've expressed before i think he's disingenuously shoving the "third highest payroll" in baseball at us. but overall, he's been a great owner; i have very few complaints. i'm more puzzled by the thought process behind leaving hirsh in austin this weekend - was out of town; anyone care to cliffs note the reasoning?
I can't believe this...I'm at work and was away from my office but I kept coming back to my computer waiting for that prize possession and BIG TRADE !!!! My uncle called me and said " the Astros didn't make a trade !!" I could not believe it...There was a guy on 610 just now complaining about spending so much money at games just to see the Stro's lose all the time. He complained about how much parking, tickets and beer cost yet we pay it..3rd highest payroll in the Majors and one of the worst teams.....I wish we could take some money out of McClanes pocket by not going to the games the rest of the year so he can see how we as fans feel. The feeling that I felt yesterday when Qualls and Lidge blew that game is just horrible..I want Purpura and McClane to get that same feeling but the only way you give them that feeling is by messing with their checkbooks......See you guys next year because I'm not going to watch anymore of these heart breaking games....Thanks Drayton and Timmy the Hut for NOTHING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WMJ, I thought the deadline is here..Its over we are not getting anyone..Isn't that why they call it a deadline ? This is a serious question I'm not trying to be a smart ass...
yeah, thanks for nothing. so what you just won the pennant!! so what you've been to the playoffs 6 times in the last 9 season. SO WHAT???!! it's totally mclane's and timmy's fault that qualls came in and gave up those runs yesterday. nice job, dreighton. give me a break.
