Uh...no, I wasn't "following party lines", I was quoting the very article you linked in your post... That article said they would hand bin laden over if 1) we presented evidence that he was involved in 9/11 (yeah, right) and 2) they would hand him over to a 3rd state not influenced by the United States. That's not exactly handing him over to us on a silver platter. And the new article you posted says the taliban didn't even have the ability to hand him over anyway. I'm not spinning anything, I'm just getting info from the articles you posted. I'm not comparing Bush to Obama, nor have I ever downplayed what Obama did to get bin laden. You must have me confused with someone else. Not everyone here has a Republican vs. Democrat ax to grind. Hell, it may surprise a lot of people here to know who I'm actually voting for in November.
