Holy crap you were part of Starlancer? When you said you used to make games I figured you made like Barbie or Spongbob games, but Starlancer was frakking awesome! What else did you make because knowing that is entirely on topic
Thanks for the comments......I was a Producer/Designer on the game and also did all the audio direction and some voice over work. Designed a lot of missions etc....as well as the core game play. Managed a team in Machester England and Austin Texas, did a lot of back and forthing from my house in Austin to my flat in Manchester....wife did not like it. Also worked on Wing Commanders and Conquest Frontier Wars as well as many other games..about 18 shipped in total I think.... Thank you I am hoping that we win game 1...to really put some pressure on em. DD
I really like the videos. It really ads something to the board and you have some really good takes. Keep the vids coming.
The problem with the Rockets is not talents...it's about being smart on the court. For example, i seen Aaron Brooks left his man to help out Yao on defense?? C'mon man, first of all Aaron, you're one of the worst defenders in the league....your job is to stick to your man ALWAYS, Yao does not need your weak defense inside. Beside, you're too weak to do anything anyway...so the worst thing you can do is leave your man open. Second, the coaching decision by Rick Adelman. I can't say enough....in the Dallas game, he chose to be arrogant and played Scola...allowing Dirk to constantly go off. This ain't no regular season game, you HAVE got to be smart about handling match up problem. You can't say ohhh let's played him and hope he's okay...let's have Brooks in there and hope he can play D. No YOU DON'T DO THAT DURING CRUNCH TIME!! You got to sub based on what the other team got out there. Rick Adelman have proven he's a dumb coach in the Dallas' game. No let's scratched that...Rick Adelman has proven through his career dating back to Sacramento era that he has no strategy to counter what the other team put out there. He's the type that let players play even if they struggle and hope that they gone through it. That is a problem RIGHT THERE!! The insisting on letting players play through their struggle is the reason why Rockets losing the edge in some of their games and we can not afford that especially during the Playoffs. IMO, that is the single biggest reason why we lost to Dallas....due to dumb coaching decisions.
Oh another thing...Aaron Brooks has low basketball IQ. Here's what i mean...when he's opened and Artest is open, guess who get to shoot the ball?? You got it...he will pass it to Artest to shoot the 3. If you're smart guard, you will weight in who's a better shooter and take the shot yourself!! And there are many times when he's opened and he chose not to shoot and drive or creative a shot for him instead...i mean c'mon how stupid can you get. He tries to be creative and make it difficult for himself. You're one of the best shooters in the team, stop being creative and pass it around. JUST SHOOT THE DARN THING!!
DD just wondering why you listed the match-ups as ron v roy and batum v battier, surely Battier starts the games and plays Roy the most, no? also i would give the PG match-up to Portland, especially when Roy often plays the Point in the 4th Q
I was unsure about the Artest or Battier vs Roy matchup, I think they will probably switch a lot - so had to make a choice....and I think Batum may be too quick for Ron. I would put Artest on Roy early to beat him down or rather up, then Battier late.. As for PG, even when Roy is in there late controlling the ball, Blake is still in there as well... Did you ever get a web cam? Or oovoo, or skype? DD
DD, last night it was Portland in seven, now it is Houston in six. So, which is it? I know, we were all so depressed last night that we weren't thinking clearly, or were we? Actually, I am still so turned off by the melt down in Dallas that I am not optimistic. I think your earlier prediction is correct. I don't see the Rockets winning in Portland, they have homecourt, end of story. Sound and fury signifying nothing; a description of the Rocket's season, actually last thirteen years. My recommendations: 1. Don't resign McGrady, for God's sake. 2. Don't resign Artest, for sanity sake. 3. Don't resign Yao, for his sake. 4. Don't resign Adelman for the team's sake. 5. Sign a veteran PG 6. Sign more size and athleticism. 7. Rebuild. What do you think?
i think portland's PGs are little underrated, both blake and rodriguez run the offense very well, and also when roy moves to PG, it creates some matchup problems for us But I think the big thing in the series has got to be how we respond to portland when they start fronting yao, and DDs right, when we cant get it to yao, they give the ball to ron and he starts doing some stupid ****, we gotta find a way and adelman's gotta tough with ron in that respect
"WHAT THE HADES IS THAT!!" I love this. I could listen to this type of thing weekly. It's entertaining. Oh, and completely not how I pictured DD.
DD, I like poking fun at you as much as the next guy, but the auto 1 star thing is lame. So I'll give you 2 stars. J/K 5 is good. I did think though that when the thread title has "video" in it, that it would be game clips broken down. Nothing wrong with lookin at your mug...but just saying that clips would be good.
