Not sure about Trading K-Mart for someone who may not come here and an unproven rookie. I think I can live with KMart wilting in the 4th *IF* we have a closer. I think AB and Yao can fill that role. Basically .. let KMart do the heavy lifting 1-3 then just have him be the spot up shooter off AB dribble drives in the 4th Our starting five as of now is AB KMart Battier Scola Yao I think Battier is the weak link in that line up. Rocket River
The big question mark going into the season will be Yao's health and Im not will to bet on that anymore.
Enjoyed your comments, as always. P.S. -- You might want to wuse some Vizine on the video to get the red out -- although it goes nicely with the white heart on your forehead.
Not to derail the thread, but I think the Rockets have to count on him one more year.......give it a shot this year, but in a smart fashion to where you are ready to move on with the young guys in case he just can't come back. Therefore, back on topic, acquiring more young talkent like Rubio and Cousins to play with Hill, Budinger, AB and others...etc. Maybe one day, I will do it without the monitor on, and get rid of the reflection.... DD
I really wonder DD if Khan really wants to move Rubio though. I read where he's throwing Flynns name out to aquire and lottery pick and I don't know how true that is. Getting back to Martin, it would be painful giving him up to aquire a top 5 pick, but if its for a future franchise type player then the rockets seriously have to consider it and move forward. If Morey could swing a deal for both Rubio and Cousins, the rockets future is pretty much set and they could still win now based on good health from Yao.
Nice work DD. As for the trade for the #4 pick, it seems like something that Minny might bite on. I just hope whatever happens the Rockets will be ready to contend from the start of the season. I can't wait for Thursday and then July 1st to see where the team will be at by then(Please sign Scola).
You could be right, I concede that, my only thinking was that none of those players would be good enough to get that number 4 pick and Rubio where a 20ppg NBA allstarish player might be. DD
Just kiddin' ya a little, DD. Your comments wouldn't be as good without the video. On a serious note, I don't think Morey would give up a proven scorer and free throw artist like Martin for any rookie. I believe he would give up Ariza and future picks for the #4 spot, which could be Cousins or Wes Johnson. I don't think Favors is his kind of player. The #2 is too much for which to hope and would be too costly if Brand is included.
Honestly, if it only cost us Trevor, I might be doing cartwheels in the next video, I just think that Minny will want more..... DD
Great video DD and I like the thoughts, but i have a problem with this rubio thing. I don't see it and I'm sorry. Personally, i just don't see or get it and thats not to say I'm right, but he has bust written over him. Now maybe in 2 yrs or so, he may be better at shooting and or get quicker, but right now, he's not close in the nba pro game. In regards to martin, if i could do martin for jeffeson, i would just do that and put chase at the 2.
Kevin Martin may be the only player on the rockets that could actually get a team to move a pick as high as #4.
I think they are caught in between RR. I think they will try one more time with Yao, but with younger players, and if it doesn't work out, they are already deep into rebuilding. If it does work out, they are in a better position to trade good young players for a superstar on a team that is going nowhere. Sort of in between...if you know what I mean. I think he has that ability in him, but was mostly a catch and shoot guy, but when he did dribble drive to the hole it looked pretty good and his passing skills are probably the best on the team. DD
