I will agree on the one guy who threw the snowball in the dude's face, they could legitimately charge him with something, that was pretty brazen and uncalled for. (but oh so funny... I mean it was a direct hit, awesome execution) but then again so is brandishing a weapon on a crowd without identifying yourself as an officer of the law.
I kept thinking about that scene in White Men Can't Jump when the guy loses and goes and pulls out his gun.
Would have been great for cop's reputation if he put his gun in his gas guzzler and joined the fight.
I believe the District of Columbia has all but fired him already... and it's definitely warranted. Cops are here to defend the safety of the public.. not deteriorate it
stupid high school and college kids taking this 'freedom' thing way too seriously the cop was there to ensure civility, and he gets snowballs thrown at his face, the dumb ignorant black kids that threw the snowball at his face needs to be locked up... seems like he got hit right on the neck/ear, and we all know the ears are very sensitive when its cold........ ever got ur ear flicked when super cold? not great
remember the days before camera phones... ah, to be a cop back then. at least one of those kids would've got bashed in for "assaulting an officer".
Yeah every time I get flicked in the ear on a cold day, I just want to pull out my pistol and shoot people. The cop was not there to ensure civility, he was there to show people how big his dick was because they hit his hummer with a snowball. As per the article posted earlier, "you just don't mess with Baylor's vehicle." The dude went on a power trip and got caught. Good for them. It is assholes like him that give good cops a bad name.
as much as i hate cops ..some of these people were being assholes...i have a short temper and would of probably shot a couple warning shots in the air ...
the vehicles passing by were getting hit by the snowballs, densely packed snowballs can leave dents... he was there to ensure civility
The dude is driving a freakin hummer... and as a native to DC.. the snow that was falling was VERY soft.... just completely uncalled for
That's fine, the issue isnt him stepping out to talk to the people throwing snowballs. The issue is pulling out a gun and doing so without identifying himself as a cop. I dont think anyone has an issue with him trying to tell some people to stop hurling snowballs, its just the manner in which he did it that is the problem. People have to respect officers but its a two way street and that officer didnt handle himself properly at all.
even the gun did not prevent snowballs being thrown at a police officer's face... what does that tell u?
