Hands down. It's about the writing though. Alan Moore could write novels that would become NYT best sellers easy.
If by writing you mean script writing, I agree. I don't agree that DC tops Marvel in terms of writing stories. Heck, the same writers flip-flop between companies all the time. Both publishers have such a massive catalog of books at this point it's subjective.
Trailer: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/SnTSqgJPVl8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> The voice acting and sound is good, but my goodness the animation is distractingly bad. I've seen a few of the DC animated movies, and I don't remember them looking this bad. I mean, it looks like a Flash animation. It seems that 2D animation has become a lost art.
Must've been a trade off. Well you can make a R-rated animated movie, but you don't get an animation budget.
Naw, I think the trade off was you can make an animated movie about something other than the New 52, but you have no budget. DC animation has always produced mature content and the animation and stories have always been great... up until after Flahspoint. (almost) Everything after Flashpoint, the New 52 story lines, have been awful. Gods and Monsters and the Suicide Squad movies were good, but they weren't based off New 52 story lines or characters. I remember a time I could always count on a DC animated movie being good to great. Not anymore. Teen Titans vs. Justice League, the latest movie, was so damn disappointing.
