Whatever time we are on now is the one I want to stay. In the winter when the sun starts going down at 4:45pm gets depressing AF.

The problem is young children trying to make their way to school when it’s completely dark. In my neighborhood we have kids on bikes, people walking to school, and children standing on the corner waiting for buses. It’s a dangerous situation even when it’s daylight. I don’t like changing time, but I will do it for the children.

That's not the problem. The problem is that northern cities like Minneapolis, will have a sunrise time after 8:30 AM December through early February.
I really, really hope this passes. If it does, I have hope that we will soon after get rid of the penny. So much low hanging fruit for government to pick right now.
Wake me up when it passes the House. Hell to the no. You can make school start later. No need to eff with the space-time continuum. Honestly I don't think federal action is necessary. I just want Texas to opt out.
