28 Days Later isn't even about zombies. It's about people who are infected with a Rabbies like virus IIRC. Also, it came out in the UK in November of 2002. Talks of doing a Dawn of the Dead remake started at least as far back as September 2002.

Dawn of the Dead was awesome. I mean, who hasn't fantasized about being trapped in a mall with your friends in a world overrun by zombies. Me and my friends have numerous contingency plans for the world ending as a result of zombies. I just hope they're the slow ones and not the sprinter variety.

Samurai sword all the way. Chop chop chop all day long.

Dawn of the dead set a new bar as far as gore goes. It's pretty rough. My dad said he walked out of it when he saw it in college bc it was so graphic. Romero is awesome.

I got to meet Tony Todd (Candyman, Star Trek: TNG) who was in the NotLD 1990 remake at a convention. Nice guy. Huge hands. The guy was a zombie killin machine.

I thought that one scene in the church in 28 Days Later was scary and great.

The thing about the original "Dawn of the Dead" was those damn zombies were too slow. I've seen all the popular zombie-type movies and "28 Days Later" is the first I can recall where the zombies could actually run and move quickly. But, there just weren't enough of the zombies in that movie. That's where the new DOTD remake comes in. It's going to be more zombie action and less stupid dialogue/use your imagination...hopefully. I'm also interested in that other zombie flick with what's her name as the whoop ass star that's coming out later this year based on some video game which I can't recall anything about whatsoever. :D

ZOMBIES RULE...AND NOW THEY HAVE SPEED! WOOHOO!

pretty much the exact sentiments that I have

I was excited when I saw the trailer for DotD remake, I was like Hell yeah, those zombies can run!

28 Days Later had such promise but failed to deliever, its like they ran outta money or something to finish making the picture it could of been...you got like 20 secs total of "zombie" action in it...pathetic

Oh my god you're a moron. Way to take my post out of context to save face. Do not ever EVER call me out on my knowledge of zombie movies. And you probably have only seen the 1990 remake I'll bet. When I posted I assumed you wouldn't even know about Night of the Living Dead and I didn't feel like explaining its existence to you.

    :D

hayjon. unfortunately i'm on the clutch forum so i cant say what i want to say to you or i'd get banned again. but your statement stands as incorrect. deal with it, used-kotex-for-brains. write a poem about how you think youre the original professor zombie since youre the only person in the tristate area who knows of the existence of an original night of the living dead. then submit that poem to your english teacher monday morning. i dont have to save face when alls i did was point out the blatant similarities between 28DL and 265DL.

btw, anyone know where i can get a copy of the original night of the living dead and dawn of the dead? its like soooo hard to find them anywhere. or someone make me a bootleg copy and i'll hit you back with a blank VHS. thanks in advance.

The zombies in Return of the Living Dead can run, and there is a lot of them. Very cool movie if you haven't seen it.

Go ahead and say what you feel like (but I think you already did). I have no problems with hearing your opinions as long as they're coherent, and so far yours have never been. If you had done that in the first place no one would be questioning your zombie know-how. But then the thought of a fight over "zombie know-how" is r****ded (I was just correcting your "deep insight" into the genre) and I'm definitely not going to fight with you over which movies I have or haven't seen.

It was a horrible thread in the first place and you're just mad because people are calling you on it. But whatever. You want to talk zombies? Let's talk zombies.
