All I know is, I gave up on Texans a couple years ago. Y’all should too. Astros are still champ caliber Rockets got something to look foward to with all our young studs. won’t watch another Texans game until I hear that they have new owners or if they get a number 1 pick and get a future qb
Expecting him to beat top 5 defenses or even look good doing it means you're defending the rest of the offense though. How many of those INTs were on him? How many was it just him trying to make a play or rushed passes because someone was in the backfield when the ball was snapped? I'm just wondering why you aren't being as harsh on the rest of the team. Again, you can say he played bad, fine. Agreed. But yall act like he's holding back this amazing offense loaded with weapons. This was against a legit championship contending team on the road. Not sure what was expected.
I think the team isn't good. I think with Tyrod, though, they should win 6 games at least. I think with Mills, they'd maybe get lucky and win one. And the I judge accordingly. I never thought we'd beat the Bills, but with Tyrod, I think we're right there with them in the first half. If the defense isn't dog tired as the game wears on, this game could have been more like one score, or 10-14 points. I think the defense looked decent by holding the Bills to two straight field goals on short fields. I think they got gassed because they were stuck on the field for so long. I grade Mills on a curve given his lack of experience, but even then, he has no reason to be on an NFL field right now. Things are moving way too fast for him. He's playing afraid, but still throwing interceptions. He threw them all preseason at practice. Sportswriters routinely called his practices terrible, when they're known to be rosy as a flower garden. He can't hit a deep ball to save his life. He's slow when he runs, despite his measurable athleticism. Just no bueno all around.
You ever watch someone try to dance, and it looks like they're counting steps and thinking too much because they lack experience and reps? That's Davis Mills as a professional NFL QB. Right now his comp is Christian Hackenburg. Mills should've been rocking the ballcap and Microsoft Surface and never even sniffed the field this year, but thanks to the Texans' QB situation he's out there before he's ready. They should've done whatever it takes to have kept Josh McCown.
He'll never be ready, he's not an NFL quarterback. Stop the low key apologist narrative, Mills is pathetic trash and won't be a qb after his rookie contract. Terrible wasted pick by Caserio
You misunderstood me, buddy. I'm not trying to white knight for this bad QB; that's why I compared him to Hackenburg. Go look at my posts in today's game thread.
Davis Mills could really use Watson fan boy excuses right about now. I mean, I hope people that are happy about this game realize that 4 wins isn’t exactly that high of a bar.
