Time for mills to start the rest of the season. He is the GOAT tank commander.

If you were making final evaluations off the first 2 games of any QB you'd be a terrible evaluator.

Thankfully well run teams don't make knee-jerk reactions.

So after two and a half games, you think Mills can get better and be good enough that he can be the man?

Also, do you think the Texans are a well run franchise?

By your own admission, you're knee-jerking.

Texans a bottom 5 defense and offense played a top 5 offense and defense and were completly outclassed today. If you think this loss is all on Mills I have some bad news for you.

Oline got pushed around, Dline generated no pressure. Have to play zone because we don't have guys capable of covering man. WRs can't get open...

I mean I can go on and on. Complete team L today.

It's not really on this FO because they were left with complete garbage. I'm going to at least see what they do with a complete draft.

You didn't answer the questions though.

And I am knee jerking, but I feel confident in that knee jerk. We're setting records for incompetence today. Yes it is a team loss. But a mile in front of the rest of the team, leading the way in the losing effort, is Davis Mills.

He's stat padding right now. Against a second string defense. People will look at the stats and convince themselves he's not that bad. At the very least, he needs two years on the bench to acclimate to NFL speeds, and that's if he ever wants to have a shot as a fringe starter on a terrible team. That is me being soberly realistic.

As I type, he throws another pick off a tipped ball....

Ah yes the favorite defense for mediocrity. The wait and see defense. Let's give mills another year or 2 for him to figure it out

This thread feels unfair but it is fun to meme it up while we're wallowing in misery.

Watson was probably jerking off to the game, loving every minute of it, while fantasizing about new women to lure into his predatory lair in Miami as a hotshot QB for the Dolphins.

Well, two years in the league does feel generous at this point.

The team sucked. Guys couldn't get open. Oline couldn't block. Runners couldn't run. You expected him to carry the team?

I have no idea what he's capable of but judging him off this game as if he was the only one sucking is a bit unfair. I wonder how that worked out for the Jets? Who was their QB last year and why is he playing much better this year?

Who says give him 2 years lol?

But acting like this L is on him is a bit much. Some of those sacks were complete coverage sacks because guys couldn't get open. He has no weapons and is playing behind an oline that can only be mediocre at best on their best day. You're basically mad that he didn't put the team on his back like Rodgers can.

He's the qb with 4 int and no score. If I can't blame the qb, basically the engine of the team who do I blame for this loss.
No one expects him to b Watson like, but u have posters on here still defending this piss poor qb play.

    This.

Snubbed Eddie seems way too desperate to make hot takes. Comes across as sad.

Single most position in all of sports. His play sets the tone for the defense. They couldn't get off the field. They played okay in the first half.

    Snubbed Eddie is right.

Want to make a tip jar bet?

It'd have to be long term, but I'm okay with making it...

If Mills has started more than 20 games in this league three years from now, I'll contribute $50 to the tip jar. If not, you do it. Deal?

I'll give it three years, despite the title of this thread, because he may hit 5-10 starts this year alone.

I'd go with a soccer or hockey goalie. If they never give up a goal, they never lose.
