Obviously a small sample size, but for what it's worth. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-qb-rookie-rankings-2021-nflwk-4/
He can be the mascot as Toys R Us comes back. In all seriousness, though, let's give it five weeks before we actually evaluate this kid. These first two weeks weren't a full assessment. One was a half a game where he was thrust into the lineup. The other was one a short week where he was coddled the entire game. He could be good, he could suck. Too early to tell.
Yeah Deshaun Watson, he is not (on all accounts). He sucks. You guys were kidding yourselves. I'll wait here for apologies.
Fact stand, we should keep looking for qbs to draft. Thinking about how another Tom Savage lookalike is being considered as our franchise qb makes me sick
Are people really thinking that? I have no problem throwing him out there and seeing what there is (given that this team has zero other options), but still doubtful that he’s the next Kirk Cousins (4th round pick).
GiraffeNeck sucks. “Coulda/shoulda/woulda been a first round pick in 2021!” “Would have been a first round pick in 2022 if he went back to school!” “He has no help!” Is it the same help Tyrod had when he beat the (albeit) Jaguars soundly and same help when he had them tied with the Browns before leaving with injury? LOL Give him the rest of the season to show he sucks, have at it, whatever.
Problem is, I don't even know if you can justify starting him again without losing the locker room. Hopefully Tyrod heals within another week or two. I know I said to give the kid five weeks or whatever, but I've seen enough. I think if you're a fan and you haven't seen enough, you're kidding yourself. There's no way this kid is the answer. Maybe he hangs around as a back for five or even ten years because he has good measurable a and can throw hard, but he does not like like he should get within five yards of a field at this point.
