I've been thinking about this trade scenario for quite some time and it all boils down to 2 things.. 1. Do we really have a shot in 2010 at Wade or Bosh? (Please Lebron is not coming here) 2. Will these pieces complete this team for a legit shot at the championships? I'm leaning 80% both to yes but problem of course is the length of contract and the health of both individuals.. I would most likely do this deal if I know for certain we cannot get any of the big 3 or 4 in 2010..
this would be a bad ass team. i think mine is better though. mcgrady ---> iverson rafer artest ---> baron davis baron davis allen iverson shane battier luis scola yao lingaling
If Dunleavy/Clips want to rebuild they still get the cap space for 2010. They could also turn around and trade Tmac next year when his value is even higher. LA is really going to have trouble finding another team to take on the long contracts so maybe they are desperate enough. On the whole trade Yao for Bosh...while that would be freaking amazing, Yao is a marketing cash cow for the Rox and they will not trade him or let him go until they have milked that as much as possible.
bosh could be better than yao... depends on the system of the team. but i don't think bosh is a top notch franchise player, he is like melo imo. i still think yao can be, and should be a top 5 player in the league.
get it in your head...we are NOT trading yao. period. it won't happen. do you actually think before you post? I'm starting to think you don't.
Sure about that? This is the Clippers and their atrocious front office we're talking about. And even if they're not atrocious, they're in serious need to rebuild because they have crap right now. The number one issue with L.A. is that they need to get rid of long contracts. However, I do agree that Davis is too new to be traded. It would be a bad P.R. move to trade someone they just signed as a free agent.
Where would we even put kaman? Back up C? PF? He's been starting for quite some time and who knows how his attitude about being a back up would be...and that would make signing deke a waste of money
I could of sworn Baron had motivation and injury problems like another guy on this team except Baron contract is longer.
