That was basically the point of this thread. I am not saying that Wesley needs to have the ball in his hands in the final minute or that he needs to take the last shot. I am merely stating that David Wesley is the headiest player on this team when it comes to making the correction decisions down the stretch of close games. Whereas Yao and T-Mac have been prone to making the occasional mental error late in games, Wesley has yet to commit any error of consequence other than missing a long range shot, which can hardly be labeled an "error" at all.
I think that at the end of games they look to put the ball in wesley's hands first and let hims either get fouled, or get the ball to Tmac. Last night with 16 secs. James was fouled (and missed both)... he waived some other players off ... bad idea - that is not JVG ball
BimaThug: you are such a WOF! the truth is that he has been great, minus the shooting slumps from time to time. nice defense from an undersized player. adds shooting and penitration. also, LOVE his clutch FT's.
We have a great and deep backcourt now. Wesley's shot is fine. The only guard I cringe when he shoots an open outside shot is Sura. Wait, they activated Moochie, right?
This man's 3s shooting is coming back this game. I guess 3/5. And he will never lose his defense. We will see Lebron has a poor night with 5/20 shooting, just like the first game Wesley play for us.
