As a plan B at this point i would love to get Brown @steddinotayto i'm all for getting a young player with upside and on a team friendly contract. We kinda need to get younger and bring in some energy and athleticism. Still not a fan of Rozier cause he reminds me of Reggie, Schroder etc, and also cause i don't think we'll be able to retain him, but if he comes with Brown i don't really care, just trade for them.

Not a fan of a Gordon for Evans plus Kyle O. or Leaf trade though, i actually think it would kinda suck even if Gordon has been frustrating this season, Evans is just not as good as Eric, he had a lot of injury problems too, not as good as a shooter and defender...and i agree with Cod, Gordon is a guy you want to have in big games cause he's just not scared...regardless, would rather get a pick here, even though i understand the Pacers may not want to give up that for Gordon as today.

Rozier is not high on my list either but for the short term I'll take him. He's proven that he can produce in the playoffs. If he walks in the summer then he walks. The jewel there is Brown. I really think he has all-star potential. He just got lost in the mix among younger player and max guys.

 

Why would Boston give up those two for lousy picks? They have enough picks.

 

Be prepared to give Jaylen Brown a lotttttt of money this offseason.

 

Hopefully Trevor Ariza after the Wizards implosion.

 

If all else fails wouldn’t mind batum here I know his contract but he would fit nice.

 

The last year of his rookie deal is 2020/2021. I'm assuming we get one last year on his rookie deal before an extension?

So if codman's ears are hearing that Morey is targeting those two what else do we have other than picks that would be valuable to Morey? Ainge wants no one on our roster so picks are the next assets to offer right?

 

I was trying to come up with a Mock up Beal trade with the rumored Grizzlies, Knicks, Rockets and Wizards and I came up with this

WIZARDS: Gordon, Kyle Anderson, Lance Thomas, Frank Ntilikina
GRIZZLIES: Knight, Hezonia, Chriss, Ennis 1st round pick from Houston
KNICKS: Temple, JaMychal Green, Jeff Green
ROCKETS: Beal + fillers to make up for uneven players

 

Now that i think about this...i know the guy wants to start and get paid bla bla, but reality is he might very well be forced to take what the market will settle, and i'm not sure there'll be a lot of teams willing to throw a lot of money to him since i don't really see him as a starting PG...so, who knows, with some luck we might be able to retain him on a good contract...afterall, even if he wouldn't start here, i guess he would still get a lot of minutes and opportunities to play.

I hear you, but the assumption is that’s the starter for a Celtics trade. I think they throw in Rozier multiple picks and whatever sweatner the Pelicans want. I personally think the Pelicans would go the rebuild route with no realistic chance of topping the Warriors. So you get young talent with the hopes of you being a real contender 3-4 years from now. CP3 and Capela makes them a above average team, but there’s so many more options in the summer. Realistically CP3s window is another 2-3 years so you end up with Capela and 4 FRP instead of multiple young potentially good to great players and 2-4 FRP. More assets=more options. Plus think of Knicks get that number 1 overall pick. I would definitely take Zion and a few other sweatners for AD.

 

He’s basically said we’re targeting the whole league. Morey isn’t going for anyone in Boston. And I can’t imagine Boston giving anyone up they can use in a trade for AD except maybe for Rozier because he’s a free agent, but even then he probably knows he won’t get equal value for him.

 

If your giving Eg for Tyreak Evans, you better get back a top 10 protected first round cause Evans sucks hard this year.

If Harden really likes Clint that much yeah, he's not getting traded unless that trade brings a superstar in the same spot here, and to be honest i totally agree with this approach. Clint is still young, still developing, he has terrific chemistry with James (which shouldn't be underestimated), great contract too which is even more important for us...

 

Gordon for Tyreke Evans is dumb as hell, I hope that doesnt come to pass ever. I hate that would we woudl have to trade him in any scenario cause hes our guy but....sigh...damn man.

 

I'm just doing what everyone else is whenever a Codbomb comes out--speculate and think about possibilities. Relax.
