Rockets are quieter than recent memory in regards to possible trades and who are involved. None of the insiders have heard anything. If they have they aren't posting it. This was certain to happen being that Morey is a member of Clutchfans.

They're keeping things on a hush this season but it doesn't mean multiple trades aren't about to take place. I don't think Morey's ever been under more pressure to make something happen. Then Kobe makes a public statement regarding the team with Harden agreeing.

    The clock is ticking.

It's like this is the first trade deadline for some of you. Nothing will happen until Wednesday afternoon at the earliest.

One thing I can guarantee is Morey is working his a$$ off to improve this team. One reason for optimism IMO is that there isn’t a lot of talk of the Rockets on the trade rumor front. I’m sure most of that is due to AD trade talks being the focal point of a potential deadline move. Most of the impactful moves Morey has pulled off have kinda come out of nowhere. At least one move will be made. Maybe more. The next couple days will be interesting to say the least...

CP3 and PJ Tucker are NOT AVAILABLE in any blockbuster trade.....involving Anthony Davis, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, or anybody else.

The Rockets in the past have been used in leverage situations and the noise was loud. Most of Morey's moves have come with no smoke in the air.

He is going to make a move. He has 4 first rounders he is ready to dump off.

There is a guy on the Hawks that would make the Rockets contenders.

Kevin Huerter ain't worth multiple first round picks, we already have enough guys with no ball-handling ability on the team.

Closest thing to Klay Thompson in the NBA right now.

Shoots 39% on high volume as a rookie and moves well without the ball.

Lol @ shopping Capela. Our rim protection would be non-existent and the rebounding would suffer as well. Not to mention his synergy with Harden and giant lob catching radius. Capela ain't going anywhere.

The Rockets are talking (have been talking) to a number of teams.

As of yesterday nothing was eminent and that isn't surprising as teams are still trying to get better deals for their assets.

With so many players available, there is a good chance the Rockets make at least one deal.

4 per game isn't high volume.
Closest thing to a declining Thompson? Maybe.
We don't have time to wait for a 20 year old to turn into a low-teir all-star. I don't understand your holic-esque fascination with him, especially as quite a few players match the same mold and do it better (Harris, Hield, etc)

Not at this point since he just had Achilles surgery today of course. But this does show your concrete mind. No fluidity at all. You think yesterday is today. Some kind of time warp where time doesn't move.

As to Wall, I still think there is an opportunity here involving the Pels or some other team that is going to suck anyway for the next two years.

I would suggest the Pels, Bulls, Hawks, or some other team that loses pout inn free agency and is lottery bound next summer would be a candidate for a John Wall trade if compensated with another superstar player like Beal that they could cannibalize into draft picks and youngsters for a rebuild while opening up cap space. I see New Orleans as an Ideal home for him if they move out Davis. Peels should flip the whole team out between now and the summer. Keep Jah, Henrich, Frank Jackson, and Cheick, and move everybody else out for whatever assets and expiring deals they can get Trade for Wall and Beal. Then flip Beal here for picks and assets. Keep converting assets for two years, keep the cap open, sit on Wall, see if he recovers . Then at the end of 20-21 or the beginning of 21-22 roll him out and see what you got. If nothing they'll have plenty of assets to move him out provided they haven't squandered assets between now and then. Call will be around 120 nonunion by them and they'll have roughly half of it taken up with Wall and the rest of a young roster. Then at some point they land a superstar through the draft or in trade or by signing them...And they're off again.

Pels are going to lottery anyways.

This is the way to rebuild a franchise.

Washington needs out of the luxury tax in the worst way. There's an opportunity here for them to rebuild and move wall. Take Ego/Knight/Chriss/Nene/Ennis....
    Beal/Wall/minimum salaries.......
    AD/Hill........

We add the picks according to his the trade runs.

Washington re-signs sato, they've got EGo on an expiring next season....Or they flip him now and go to lottery, whatever.

There is opportunity here for everyone.
