Right, but David Lee has an expiring contract. Harrison Barnes is still on his rookie deal through this year. The move maybe saves the Warriors some tax money... if they stretch Wallace. Which is nice for them and all... but not sure how it's amazing. It also gives them a slightly smaller contract to trade at the deadline if they keep Wallace... Gerald Wallace is a horrible player. I'm not sure what the point of this move is for the Warriors if they don't stretch Wallace.
