Since when did popularity mean something was good ? Sincerely, The Simple Life Fear Factor Real World Two and a Half Men Britney Spears Fantastic Four film Wal Mart Clay Aiken
A fundamental difference: Popular, but not necessarily talented. Talented, but not necessarily popular.
He made the quote, because it is funny, and his way of acknowledging the fued. It it is good publicity that's no problem. Your motives about DC are far from reality. Please try and find his writings on a trip to Sundance film festival, or Jim Belushi, and other hollywood status pieces. In part you are correct he is in this as a business, and does make a living at it. That is not his sole motivation, and he hasn't "sold out" or anything to try and get his star to rise. It's fine if you don't like him or his comedy, but I just think your applying pure ambition as DC's objectives is off base.
Curse you, Berkley!! I thought Larry the Cable Guy was pretty funny when I saw him on Blue Collar, especially his bit on "eatin' britches"...Hey, fart jokes or not, if it's funny, I'll laugh. The funniest out of the four blue collar guys, however, is Ron White....living proof that alcoholism is the second funniest disease behind tourette's syndrome...
