Well, this is what happens when you sign a QB to a huge deal and still have a QB with a huge deal on your roster who has underperformed (behind a terrible o-line)

You get nothing because you have no leverage. Said it yesterday.

That said, I am excited about Matt and wish Carr the best...

Typical Texan move, though. Of course, a winning season will change all that

Perhaps this is a good thing for the Rockets...

Last time a Houston Pro QB went out of town with mixed emotion was 1994.

We know what the Rockets did that year.

Moon played his last game in 1993 in a Houston uniform... Rockets 1993-1994 season... Rockets champs of '94 finals.

Carr played his last game in 2006 in a Houston uniform... Rockets 2006-2007 season... and let's just stop right there for now...

except I don't think there's much mixed emotion here. Once we got Schaub, were there a lot of people that wanted Carr to stick around?

I distinctly remember several people all over Houston, in the media, and friends of mine saying "good riddance" and "go Cody!" when Moon left.

I know they are no where near the same goose... but you see the "analogy" I was attempting nonetheless, right?

I'm not a Vince Young fan, but there is no doubt that if we had last year's draft to do over again, we would have taken VY, Cutler, or Leinart. Sure we wouldn't have Mario, but we wouldn't have to give up 2 draft picks, move down 2 spots in the 1st round, and take a cap hit on Carr.

My sentiments exaclty. From the Carr release thread:

"I can't take it anymore! The Texans are a joke!"

Not when they knew they could have him for free by waiting just 24 hours!

Time to move on. Welcome Schaub. I hope Carr proves how much this was a mistake from the beginning, and I am talking the shotty OFFENSIVE LINE and butter-fingered receivers before Andre Johnson and Daniels were here.

You mean Phillip Rivers...? And we know Tom Brady should have been there. Don't start this PROBOWL bull.

Thank you . Now you can go home to wherever that is.
See, it's fans like these that we don't need, dudes.

Strong words. Care to make a bet?

Thank goodness Rivers got injured and Tom Brady was out of the country with his girlfriend.

It's funny...but I won't miss Carr at all. There is such a poor history with him, that any change is good.

Losing a QB that has had success, Like Moon, hurts a lot more.

Carr has been a failure from day one...it just took the damn front office 5 freaking years to realize what us fans have always known.

Where have you been wildman? Oh yeah, you're probably pretty busy with all that crow you have to eat you know MM's, DD's and my share. We tried to tell you that DC was history but, to the very end you showed loyalty to DC which was both admirable and a complete waste of time. It's all good, dude! We know you just want a winner like we all do. :D

Keeping Leach is a good move. He's a powerful lead blocker and didn't seem like he would fumble as much as the other guy norris. I never thought Carr should have been drafted ahead of Peppers anyway. They are building the team the right way now. Both lines 1st then skill players. I think this team can win 8 games next yr.

People thought the Dallas line sucked until Romo came in and was getting rid of the ball. NO line sucked too until drew brees replaced Brooks and got rid of the ball.

I agree with your last statement. F*cker. ;)

No CROW here. Hey, as long as DC was in a TEXANS' Uniform, he was still going to get props from me. Don't hate me 'cuz I'm loyal to my own. What do you want me to do? Spit on my own players' faces? No way, man. So now... let's talk about this Schaub guy...

I'm just saying the last few weeks you were like Saddam's misinformation minister who until the very end refused to give in and submit until Saddam's statue came a crashing down. :D

As I said many times over, DC was not given a fair opportunity for success but that blame lays at Asserly and Crappers' feet. Kuby and Smitty clearly saw by midseason and indelibly shoved the obvious in McNair's face that DC for this organization was garbage and would not lead us to the playoffs.

For the record, I said give DC to midseason before passing judgment. I thought Kuby in all honesty could mold DC similar to the job he did resurrecting Jake's career and progressing the Great Elway's career as well.

Also, as Carr did many times here he started well but ... it was the last third to half of the season that seemed to do him in.

I hold no grudge against DC and wish him well elsewhere but, until further notice, Carr will be nothing more than a washout starter or a well paid, utility backup in the NFL.
