would love to know how this really played out. Remember last week(or the week before) when there was speculation that a trade would happen by the end of the day. Wonder what that was about?
yeah..but if you trade for him, you make sure YOU are the team that gets him. no one was willing to give anything to make that happen, apparently.
true....or maybe it means that there was only one really interested team...and that they couldnt make a deal
That's where the talent level and contract issues come into play. I'm sure there are teams that like him, but none that like him so much they want to give something up for either his contract and/or his talent. The total package that he brought with him just wasn't an attractive commodity for a trade.
My thoughts exactly. Why do any of us ever think this organization knows what they are doing. Until they have a winning season, they officially don't know what they are doing.
Apples and Oranges. Were we able to get VY for a few spots down in the draft and two second rounders we would have done it in a heartbeat.
Yeah, because taking the equivalant of Michael Jordan of football with the first pick would not be worth it. Vince would have this team in the playoffs THIS year......hopefully Charles Schwab will do the same. DD
Bwahahahaha! One year after the vote of confidence and a massive extension. Way to go Houston Texans.
