well, it's officially a brand new start for the franchise. I wasn't exactly in favor of replacing Carr, but I'm enjoying the breath of fresh air. GO TEXANS!
People are outraged that we didn't get a 5th round draft pick for him, but how many 5th round draft picks even make the team? So really, who cares?
Ding dong. The witch is dead. Thank God. Would you prefer they hang on to Carr prolonging their mistake?
I think he was just making sure that the trend of it being said in EVERY thread about the Texans continued.
People who seriously thought that the Texans could get decent draft pick for Carr were vastly over-rating his trade value. NO team was going to trade for an average (on his best days) qb with an 8 mil price tag. The Texans FO also made it pretty obvious that they weren't happy with his play, so IMO, the writing was on the wall (after the Titans game?), long time ago. Plus, I think it's classy of Mcnair and management to release David instead of trading him. That way he can pick where he go back up at. It's the least they could do, since they're partially responsible for ruining his career.
Damn Sherman!! I actually care more about Davis. Was he not going to be able to play this year either?
i tend to agree with this to some extent....i think it also has to do with the fact that if he gets cut, which the Texans made it known that they were gonna do if they didnt trade him, that you can get him for nothing.
