When it rains, it pours...... HOUSTON -- The Miami Dolphins, already stung by the retirement of Ricky Williams, suffered another potentially serious blow Friday when wide receiver David Boston was carted off the field with a patellar tendon injury to his left knee. Dolphins coach Dave Wannstedt said the injury appeared to be a strain but that Boston would undergo an MRI to determine its severity late Friday. Boston was hurt as he attempted to catch a deep pass during a dual practice with the Houston Texans at the Texans facility. The Miami Dolphins are dealt another blow when David Boston goes down with a knee injury.(AP) Boston, who is from the Houston area, was obtained from the San Diego Chargers in an offseason trade with the hope that he'd add another threat to an offense expected to again focus on a running attack led by Williams. With Williams' retirement, the passing game became more important to the Dolphins' hopes, and losing Boston for an extended time would be a serious setback. The sixth-year pro out of Ohio State played his first four seasons in Arizona and posted back-to-back 1,000-yard years in 2000 and 2001, when he reached his only Pro Bowl after catching 98 balls for 1,598 yards and eight touchdowns. He signed with the Chargers before the 2003 season.

Shaq arrives and the star players are dropping like flies. Interesting. Maybe they can't take the HEAT.
ESPN says he is indeed out for the season. Torn patellar tendon. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=1853849
Sucks for him. Just when he had dropped all that unnecessary muscle mass and was getting back into 2001 shape with his former Cardinals coach. Devastating blow.
I hate that it comes at the expense of injured players, but I'm happy for the Titans, too. Not that the game is a gimme, but it's starting to look like the Titans can win that game if they can simply score. Who will the Fins have on offense? Tim Brown? I've heard they are interested in signing him, but his better days are far behind him. God bless the people who've drafted Chris Chambers in fantasy football. He will be double and triple teamed to no end this year!
You know.... i write a passionate poem about the Miami Dolphins ripping off our beloved Oiler's song, and I get squat, in appreciation. Y'all SUCK! Where's Chance when you need him?
