Oh, no doubt. This will get some criticism, but nowhere near as much as McHale being canned. Partly because McHale is a Hall of Fame player, so a lot of guys who cover the NBA have a level of respect for him Blatt will never get. And also because LeBron is harder to criticize for this since he has led his team to the NBA Finals the last 5 years(and won the title twice). The same cannot be said for James Harden or Dwight Howard.
You are leading the east and you get fired. He must have pissed of Lebron. Lebron should just coach the team. He probably already does anyways.
Maybe it's his choice, maybe it's not, but I'm not sure Blatt coaches in the NBA again. — Jeff Zillgitt
there is no explanation, its just one of the most ridiculous things i've seen happen in the NBA and thats saying alot
At that time, it was also more so Wade's team. Also, Pat Riely knows how to handle these types of situations.
Because Spo was Riley's hand-picked successor as Head Coach, Wade loves Spo as Coach, and Riley was the one who would have final say on any organizational changes, not LeBron.
I keep saying that the superstars run this league. Coaches cannot hold star players accountable, when the stars have the power. People who think a coach can hold a superstar like Harden accountable by benching him don't understand who has the power. Cleveland will hire whoever Lebron wants hired.
